Yeeea, I'm a pimp. If you guys didn't get invited, it's because you weren't on or I didn't have your screenname. Just say it here and I'll add you for next time.

Werd, I'm in NC. It's pretty boring down here. No good concerts, except Hardcore/Metalcore bands that are once in a while decent, but that's rare.

Where in NC? I'm in Fayetteville/Fort Bragg and it's just worthless here. Not a metalhead within 50 miles. There's some good concerts in Raleigh and more often in Winston-Salem though.

magicbus 04-25-2005 08:24 PM
Uh, well, chats are spontaneous, so don't get all pissy that you didn't get invited. There's no method to the madness. Just calm down.

Anyway, 24 was pretty good.
I beg to differ :-\

And when it comes to concerts, I lived in Boston  so I win

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-25-2005 09:58 PM
For right now, yes, you do win. But until we find someone who posts in this thread who lives in L.A/San Diego.. you're screwed. :thumb:
I wanna get down to SoCal again. It's so awesome down there. I've only been when I was maybe 10 during X-mas break. I really didn't absorb much of the culture that young, but it was still one of the funner vacations I've been on.

ATM 04-25-2005 10:12 PM

Hey Jom, you're smart. Do this paper for me.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-25-2005 10:15 PM

I was born in Chi town.

Then I moved to Des Moines, Iowa.

Then Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (Yeah, the Amish community, lol)

Now, Mabton Wa. home of teh Insano Cow.

Illmatic 04-25-2005 10:18 PM

OMG, you were born in Chicago?

What part?

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-25-2005 10:26 PM

A suburb of it, actually. I can't think of it at the moment...Lemme ask my mom.

oic.

Well, I don't think I need to make it clear where I'm from.

I'll say it anyway.

About a Tim Raines relay throw away from Comiskey Park.

Also, I had no idea I had reached 6k! Good lawd.

And no one hates Jurassic 5 here, AH,

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-25-2005 10:36 PM

I actually like Jurassic 5, from what I've heard.

I'll upload it if you want, but it's by KMK :-\

Holy hell, I just stumbled across a goofy gold mine: someone on the network is sharing all the Bud Light commercials where they make fun of people (Mr. Giant Foam Finger Guy, Mr. Rental Bowling Shoe Giver Outter, etc.). Should I get them? It almost seems pointless, but those commercials are hysterical.

Jake, how are you liking the J5?

The reason why I like "What's Golden" so much is that it was the Pistons' theme song for the playoffs, where they punched the Lakers right in the mouth

I know a lot of the NBA fans here are anti-'Stons, but I wanted to say that.

Dr. Jake Destructo 04-25-2005 11:06 PM

I've refl'd at the Mr. Cargo Pants Inventor man one like a million times.

I dare you to get em, Jom.

Do you dare me to pee my pants?

ATM 04-25-2005 11:06 PM

Speaking of J5, I am going to do a Rap FG later this week. I just need to get this project done, first. :/

Illmatic 04-25-2005 11:08 PM

Ah yes, Detroit. Where "Foul on Wallace" is a figure of speech.

Boston Celtics: 16 Championships
Detroit Pistons: 3

Boston Red Sox: 6 World Series Championships
Detroit Tigers: 4

New England Patriots: Three Super Bowls in four years
Detroit Lions: self-explanatory

/got really defensive for no reason at all

Permanent Solution 04-25-2005 11:10 PM

Yes! Rap FG. I'm excited for it. In other news my roommate's still a douche but I have 2 weeks of school left, unlike some people here. I don't understand my homework and I feel like a moron. The Handmaiden's Tale by Margaret Atwood is a good book, especially for assigned reading. A Farewell to Kings is a great CD.

ATM 04-25-2005 11:10 PM

Ray, everytime I read your usertitle I think to myself "I've got two turn tables and a microphone".

Did you want to help with the FG? If not, I can see if Iai has any input.
Question for those knowledgeable about... current music and such:

I'm scanning the network for new music to listen to, and the following albums caught my eye:

Chevelle's "Point #1"
Brand New's "Deja Entendu"
David Bowie's "Ziggy Stardust..."

I'll edit the list as I move along.

Are the albums I've seen worth getting off the network?
Get Bowie and Brand New, I don't know anything about that Chevelle album, tho.

Jom-Point #1 is my favorite Chevelle material.

Illmatic 04-25-2005 11:12 PM

1) That's the idea
2) I could help. I'm not swamped so I can get it going. How are we going to go about it?
The Handmaiden's Tale by Margaret Atwood is a good book, especially for assigned reading.

Absolutely one of the worst books I have ever read.

AH:

I like Ziggy Stardust but I don't like Brand New or Chevelle
Boston: Funny accent

Boston: Birthplace of the American Revolution, Sam Adams (the man and the brew), New England clam chowdah, "Cheers", the Kennedys, and uh...racial riots
Detroit: The coney, and uh...racial riots

Let's not try to compare cultural impact here

And Bob Seger, and Ted Nugent, and Red Tree = :)

Thanks for the input, Jake and ATM (edit: and Ray just now). I'm still editing in that list.

Dialated Peoples - Cool album, my favorite track from it is Worst Comes to Worst

D/l that as well.

Well crap. I was just about to join the International Socialist Organization, but after joining the DSA I can't afford a $20/month membership fee.
