I'm not sure, Iommi wants to do a proper tour with the Sabs again sometime soon thats not an Ozzfest though.
I'd love to do TV Crimes but from what I remember, finding a bass tab was a bit of a bugger.
try here, http://www.rdrop.com/~mjames/sabbath/index.html awesome site. |

That would be great, I really want to see them live. |
TV Crimes would be a great track to do, either that or I.

you see them once and you never have to again. Being a diehard Sabbath fan from EVERY era, it is upsetting to see them widdling away with Ozzy at the helm. Ive seen Sabbath since 97' and over the course of the 6 shows ive seen by them, only about 1-2 songs are taken out and replaced every tour not to mention brought back in the next time around. Ozzy can't do more than an hour on stage if he's lucky. Id like to see Sabbath tour with Dio, Hugues, or Martin. |
So would I, too bad Martin has vowed never to play with them again, and Dio wouldn't get along. As for Glenn Hughes well be seeing him for the tour of Iommi's new album. Hope they come to Australia (I doubt it though)
|
i would pay anything to see a show with tony martin
|
Hey, it's nice to see some more open minded people in these forums. Its a nice break from all those "Its not Sabbath without Ozzy" people.

*looks around with shifty eyes* |
What would be great is a Sabbath SuperShow where all the various singers go on tour with the band and play a few songs each.

I agree with pretty much all of that list, I might do one of my own later. Edit: Does anyone know what tuning they used on Master of Reality? Children of the Grave sounds a bit odd in standard. Edit2: Nevermind, I've just found it. |
Here is another random sabbath cover, this time it is children of the grave by hellfueled

Who else thought Sabbath should've been at Live8?
|
Hey, it's nice to see some more open minded people in these forums. Its a nice break from all those "Its not Sabbath without Ozzy" people.
Well, now there's at least 3 of us! |
Who else thought Sabbath should've been at Live8?
I don't. Why should they have been there? |
the played the original Live Aid, but that's not really a reason. although it would have made the concert better if it had been The Who, Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath headlining.
Titch: Mr Wilkinson likes Sabbath! |
My Art teacher likes Sabbath and had Changes as her fav. song.
She only half-arsedly mentioned Paranoid aswell, which made me think  |
lol. i just didnt think Mr Wilkinson (physics teacher) would be into classic rock / metal, until we were talking about live8 in a lesson and he said he thought sabbath should have played.
|
My Physics teacher used to play us Pink Floyd in lessons :)
|
that's pretty damn cool. i downloaded a video of their live8 set last night, they did good.
wow, i have 7 sabbath albums on my computer - TYR, sabbath bloody sabbath, paranoid, master of reality, headless cross, dehumaniser, best of black sabbath. |
I have 18 Sabbath albums on my computer...
/waits for Frail to come back and pwn us all. |
lol, i only own 3 of them though...Dehumaniser, Paranoid and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Dehumaniser's probably my favourite though. i borrowed the rest from Titch (Shadow_Stalker)
|
I have 18 Sabbath albums on my computer...
/waits for Frail to come back and pwn us all.
haha well i have a few bootlegs so im a cheater hehe, i think i have 26 overall. The rarest being "heaven and god" with Halford in 92 :) |
I have a few tracks from the '92 Costa Mesa shows, they're pretty good.
I think my fav. bootleg is a 16min version of Sabbra Cadabra, its brilliant. |
^^^^
a very untypical lyrical song for them but its catchy as hell! i love it...but not one to sway the ol windmill from hell to :D |
My Physics teacher used to play us Pink Floyd in lessons :)
My IT teacher has all these Beatles songs on his Laptop and once he brought speakers in and we all listened to the white album. :thumb: On a sabbath related note I found a site that sells live CD and DVD bootlegs for about $15 (I dont know if aussie or american). I was thinking of getting a whole show from the Born Again tour. Do you reckon it would be worth it? |
I'd be iffy on bootleg live albums like that, i have several and some are wonderful quality that sound as good as any other live album, but there are some that you are like "well, its cool but..." I havent heard anything live from that tour, so i cant say. Always worth checking out though, whats $15? hehe
|
lol I suppose, it might be good to actually get the Born Again first though.
|
Born Again is alot better than people make it out to be. All the jokes, Deep Sabbath and Black Purple, it was a wonderful combination! Trashed, Keep It Warm, and Digital Bitch are some killer tracks and i think Ian and Tony espically had some great chemistry together. I dont see why any diehard Sabbath fan wouldnt enjoy it.
|
Could you tell me what Seventh Star is like and what kind of music is on it? I was thinking about getting it the other day but ended up getting a Metallica album instead.
|
^Which Metallica album did you get?
I've been meaning to buy 7th Star for awhile but I can never find it. |
Black Sabbath thread, oh i missed you. Yes indeed i love the Sabbath. Part of the reason i'm looking for a job is to buy more of their cd's.
NP - Heaven and Hell! |
Hey welcome to the thread, its nice to see someone willing to actually pay for CD's. And Brum I got Ride the Lightning, and i've been playing it constantly.
|
Could you tell me what Seventh Star is like and what kind of music is on it? I was thinking about getting it the other day but ended up getting a Metallica album instead.
Honestly...along with Forbidden it is Sabbath's weakest album. Iommi wanted it to be his first solo cd, thus the name Seventh Star staring Toni Iommi, but the record company thought to put the Sabbath name on it so it would sell better. Really weak songs, at least on Forbidden "Rusty Angels" is one of the best Sabbath songs ever penned. Id get Born Again over both anyday. |

god **** great cd! I bought that in 7th grade in like 1997 haha, played the living hell out of it. |
RTL was the first Metallica cd I got, its still my favourite album by them, I can play most of it on bass.
If I remember right I got it for a mere £7 at the Ozzfest in 2002 :) http://www.musicianforums.com/forums/showthread.php?p=8581438#post8581438 Lets get Geezer into the next round! |
i have 5 'tallica albums. i actually buy cds as well, i just only have about 30 or so albums.
i voted for Geezer :thumb: |
