I have been waiting on my friend to sign on to send me the remaster of Youthanasia (Song). I can't wait anymore. Anyone have it? I will love you for many, many years if you send it to me. AIM - InMyDarkestHourr. Yes there are two R's.

Father_Jack 09-08-2005 03:41 PM

I dont understand why they would remaster youthanasia, its not exactly bad quality or anything.

EDIT: 900 posts, whoo :chug:
Not really, if you go by what Satanism really is.

But that's not the point, its a really crappy thing to do at a festival where it should be about the music. What happened to tolerance? Jesus wouldn't kick them off lol.
Yes really if you know what Satanism is. Most of Satanism [including the name] was designed to mock Christianity.

I happen to know that Jesus loves his satanic metal.
He probably pisses himself at what they say about him.

I'd say paganism is the opposite of Christianity, not Satanism.

Yes, this is true. I betcha if you went to heaven you'd see a bunch of death, thrash, and black metal albums everywhere and there would be Jesus with giant headphones attached to a giant shelf system and he'd be just rippin' on his air guitar.

After all, we all know he's the son of god and all kids are rebellious.

Fuck air guitar, he'd be on the goth SG with a gigantic mesa stack

:o So back to megadeth then.....

lightningmetal666 09-09-2005 03:17 PM

What's dave mustaine got next on his agenda?

Also, did anyone check out the musicians institute link I posted? On their website they've got a couple of videos of Marty Freidman giving lessons that you can downloads.

lightningmetal666 09-09-2005 03:22 PM

the link is www.mi.edu

As it would turn out he is one of the guest teachers at that college. I've heard rumors that when the metal workshop is going on, he is the one teaching it and you can actually sit in with him. :amaze:

The place to download it is in the bottom right-hand corner

I saw Megadeth at Gigantour on Wednesday. They had a good sounding show, but they have literally no stage presence, and their set-list wasn't much to my appeal. Anthrax destroyed them.

Compared to Anthrax, not many bands have stage pressence. I think Megadeth's stage pressence rules though. The way Dave just stands there in all his awesomeness, it eminated (sp) off him for sure! Maybe it's just like that for me though, I don't know.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 12:17 PM

I find Megadeth's stage presence is very strong. I don't know what it is, but they seem so strong and comfortable on stage.

VeedBok 09-10-2005 12:28 PM
I find Megadeth's stage presence is very strong. I don't know what it is, but they seem so strong and comfortable on stage.
:amaze: are you serious? I saw them at Gigantour and they had horrible stage presence. They rarley moved and Dave talked 2 times to the crowd. I though they were going to be way better, but I was wrong. Anthrax on the other hand had amazing stage presence. They were always headbanging, pumping up the crowdn running around and having a great time. They blew Megadeth away, even though I though Megadeth would do that to them.

MegaMustaine 09-10-2005 12:31 PM

Their stage presence was great when I saw them at Gigantour. What venue did you go to Veedbok?

Jev 09-10-2005 12:33 PM

Their stage presence is great.

VeedBok 09-10-2005 12:35 PM

I saw them in Calgary, they played a bunch of new shitty songs, which angred me, and they olny played like 5 good old songs.

Bazarov 09-10-2005 12:39 PM

Yeah, when I saw them in SD. They played great, but Dave really mainly just stood around. He only said a few things, nothing to really fire up the crowd that much.

vashts80 09-10-2005 12:40 PM

When I saw Gigantour, during all the instrumental parts they'd move around stage, like MacDonough would move to the other side and headbang, then he's run over to the left and headbang, etc etc...he was headbanging for most of the show, actually. You don't need to jump off your amps and throw your monitors around to get a crowd into a show.

DimebagDarrell 09-10-2005 12:42 PM

Dave doesnt like to talk methinks when i seen megadeth he said you aint come to hear my speak you have come to see and hear megadeth. he only spoke about twice when i seen them too lol

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 12:50 PM

His stage presence was way better at Electric Factory a year ago. Making fun of idiots in the crowd, talking a lot, headbanging way more, etc. And James and Glen barely did anything at Gigantour, at Electric Factory they were headbanging like crazy the whole show.

Dave gave his reasons for not talking much; they don't have much time, so they just want to play music. I understand that completely. But I think festivals suck balls. I mean, an hour and a half just isn't enough for Megadeth, and 30 minutes for Nevermore is a joke.

Jev 09-10-2005 12:52 PM

50 minutes for Megadeth IS NOT ENOUGH
Stupid crappy Feeder headlining.

heavy metal kid 09-10-2005 12:58 PM

Gigantour:
In SD Dave actually spoke to the crowd.
Besides the pyro effects were cool.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 01:01 PM

That's because its San Diego.

heavy metal kid 09-10-2005 01:04 PM
That's because its San Diego.
and maybe because only 4 bands where at the show.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 01:08 PM

Yeah at my show he said that he didn't want to talk much because they might run out of time, and I would have been pissed if they didn't have enough time to play Holy Wars so I'm glad he didn't talk much.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 01:12 PM

My biggest gripe was that the only song that surprised me was She-Wolf. Everything else was 100% predictable.

heavy metal kid 09-10-2005 01:20 PM

They play almost all the greatest hits album and a few from the system has failed.
Like you said 100% predictable.

CaptainWaits 09-10-2005 01:28 PM
Yeah at my show he said that he didn't want to talk much because they might run out of time, and I would have been pissed if they didn't have enough time to play Holy Wars so I'm glad he didn't talk much.
That's exactly what he said at mine too, but like I said earlier, they still were pretty boring to watch.

Jev 09-10-2005 01:37 PM
My biggest gripe was that the only song that surprised me was She-Wolf. Everything else was 100% predictable.
They played STWA at my show, that supirsed me.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 01:56 PM

Didn't surprise me, because they played it last time.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 02:48 PM

They played everything that they played when I saw them in November, except for STWA and She-Wolf, but She-Wolf was the only one that surprised me.

Father_Jack 09-10-2005 02:49 PM
They played everything that they played when I saw them in November, except for STWA and She-Wolf, but She-Wolf was the only one that surprised me.
STWA?

Jev 09-10-2005 02:51 PM
STWA?
Set The World Afire.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 07:42 PM

Does anyone know how long it's going to take before the Gigantour DVD comes out? I can't wait to buy it.

FlyingPaul_83 09-10-2005 07:58 PM

hopefully soon, and hopefully it won't be expensive.

RustedPieces 09-10-2005 07:59 PM

I hope they don't pull a Metallica and charge 80 bucks for it.

FlyingPaul_83 09-10-2005 08:49 PM

I want it to be $15, but it'll probably be like 20-30.

MAthiAS 09-10-2005 09:09 PM

Probably 30-40, I think Rude Awakening is 25.

Five Magics 09-11-2005 12:08 AM

What's the big deal with their stage presence? Im there to watch them play the songs I love, not to run around stage, headbanging, and talking. Sure those things are great too dont get me wrong, but I am there for the music first and foremost.
