I am uploading the director's cut right now.

I think I have only heard the soundtrack once, and I don't remember my impression. But I was hitching a ride from someone and everyone in the car thought it was the best thing since sliced bread.

thelowsoundofbass 10-25-2006 08:39 PM
I didn't even think the soundtrack was good.

Shoot.

lowsound, the film was good the first time through, but, viewing it anytime after that, I just found it flat out boring.
I get more out of it everytime I watch it. IMO it isn't one of those movies that you can just watch once.

Anyone ever see "thank you for smoking"?

The Brad 10-25-2006 08:40 PM

No, but my friend and his roomie swear it's the greatest movie ever made.

Without further adieu, tonight's feature presentation:
Fat Kid Theatre Presents...
Nintendo 64 (an adaptation).

I remember seeing an add when i got the xmen 3 dvd.

That movie looks pretty damn entertaining.

Akira 10-25-2006 08:41 PM

Hmm, so out of a book of 50 bebop heads, I managed to pick a song with a melody in the 14th position. This is not working out too well.

I saw Thank You For Smoking and I absolutely loved it.

To each their own with films, though. I just didn't think much of Garden State, and I don't like Zack Braff much. I don't even know if I spelt his name correctly.

I watched thank you for smoking last night, it was really good. I only like Zack Braff in certain things, garden state being one of them.

Yeah, it was a rather well done film. I was laughing the entire time.

Zack Braff wasn't too bad in "Scrubs," which I think he was in, if I remember correctly.

I'll refund your admission if you torture me, Gibson style.

I say that it is BS, that means that .49... really equals .5 which could equal .51 and so on.

One Groovin Clown 10-25-2006 08:55 PM

They're talking about 0.9 that is an never ending sequence.

If it was just plainly 0.9 then it would equal 0.9

But once the infinite sequence comes to play, its proven to be 1

The problem I have with it that while .333... is infinitely close to 1/3, it while never actually reach 1/3. So I mean .999... may equal 1 for all practical purposes, it technically wouldn't, right?

I just did a quick read through that, and I understand how it is stating that 0.999... is equal to one.

With the fractions, 1/3 is equal to 0.333..., and 2/3 is equal to 0.666..., so the next in the serious would be 0.999... otherwise known "1" because 3/3 is equal to one.

I didn't read the entire thing extensively, though.

Well that makes sense

One Groovin Clown 10-25-2006 08:59 PM

What plu said is quite the idea they're saying.

If 1/3 = 0.333...
then 3/3 = 0.999...
and 3/3 = 1
therefore

1 = 0.999...

I understand that, but I don't think 1/3 is actually equal to .333...
Oh well, I'm not one for math. I like things to be quantifiable, and that falls apart when you get into infinity.

No it is not, that would mean that a exponential curve actually does touch an asymptote and it doesn't.

I don't know what an asymptote is, but I think that's what I want to say. I understand the concept of expotential curves, and it seems like they are comng into play.

Eh...mathematics is just a way for one man to prove something else in theory. 1/3 just continues on for forever with no end in sight, and the same goes for 2/3, but then 3/3 comes next in the sequence and that is equal to one. No one said that these numbers were exact, but that is just the way it was taught from generation to generation.

It is just like Pi is an non-repeating, non-terminating number. I am destined to prove that it eventually terminates, though. :p
