Haha.

I almost had him. Stupid Electrocution, spoil my fun.

leiferikson 02-20-2005 05:51 PM

Pff, just because i havent made 234824378324 posts doesnt mean im stupid

To be honest I havent heard much of the earlier Ted Leo stuff, my friend lent me the two most recent records and I liked them but havent really had time to delve deeper. The same friend, who is a proper Ted Leo fan, is the one who bought the tickets to the gig. So sorry for not having the encyclopedic knowledge on them that you so clearly possess

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 06:00 PM

Dude, what's with the outburst?

Did anyone insult you? Anyone call you stupid?

NO!

Zappa 02-20-2005 06:02 PM

When I do geography homework I listen to Talking Heads. Tonight will be no exception.

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 06:07 PM

You clearly outlined your intentions to make me appear stupid for your own personal enjoyment! Like im some sort of rube to be laughed at. That hurt mister :upset:

Tangy zizzle 02-20-2005 06:16 PM

I'm on the internet, I'm on the internet.

It was a trick, I'm a trickster, I tried to tricksterise you. Build a bridge.

I think I have one McLusky song on my computer somewhere. I know I never listened to it, if I do.

Doctor D. 02-20-2005 10:11 PM

I second the Mclusky recomendation, if you want it, just hit me up A-Man.

Zappa 02-20-2005 10:12 PM
I second the Mclusky recomendation, if you want it, just hit me up A-Man.
Asymm is sending me a McLusky recording as I type this.

Well_Respected_Man 02-20-2005 10:12 PM

wheelz 02-20-2005 11:55 PM

i'm hitting some boards of canada for the first time in a while. i think smokes quantity just... yeah, it just made me orgasm, aka "blow my load".

br3ad_man 02-21-2005 12:30 AM

Which album, Zappa?

The Dillinger Escape Plan are rather nice. I like the Mike Patton on vocals EP the best, I haven;t really liked their other stuff much.

Other than that. I've just been listening to a demo cd one of my music teachers gave me, I'm going into the studio to record some tracks for it on Wednesday.

Ever since I finally saw 24 Hour Party People I keep getting random urges to listen to Joy Division.

Might do that now.

Also, the new Sage Francis album is absolutely wow.

BETH 02-21-2005 04:34 AM

portishead

Luxor 02-21-2005 11:34 AM

What "Queens Of The Stone Age" album should I get?

talk show host 02-21-2005 11:42 AM

I personally wouldn't recommend any of them. But that's just me.

At this moment in time, i'm seriously diggin squarepusher - ultravisitor.
What "Queens Of The Stone Age" album should I get?
Either 'Rated R' or 'Songs for the Deaf'. Or you could wait a month for their new CD 'Lullabies to Paralyse'

Luxor 02-21-2005 03:05 PM

Too many choices! :(

YDload 02-21-2005 03:14 PM

I mean, come on! Can you really look at an album titled "Lullabies to Paralyze" and honestly say "This might not be that good?" I may have to pick this up someday, although I think I'd get SFTD first.

wheelz 02-21-2005 03:43 PM

the guys in the apartment above me woke me up by blaring deftones... so now i'm listening to them for the first time in god knows how long.

white pony is still great.

Zappa 02-21-2005 04:16 PM

Electrocution 02-21-2005 05:11 PM

I'll take some Deftones any day. :thumb:

Their self-titled didn't top White Pony, but I think it was still something to be proud of. They branched out a bit, I guess evidence of that could be represented by Hexagram. And, Minerva is one hell of a good song.

NineBitFable 02-21-2005 05:32 PM

Archers of Loaf
