So I gave up on my impossible homework assignment and have instead decided to get really drunk, then go get dinner and then pass out at some point, go to class tomorrow, copy someone else's homework hopefully, then go get drunk at a bbq Friday.

If I end up dead very soon don't miss me too much and know I went out in a good way. :)

But yes, school sucks, and I hate DBQs.

Edit: night a todos.

Voy a hacer la tarea y dormirme.

That may just be the best start to a post I've ever seen in my life.

Best way to turn around a night too. We drank, watched road trip and stayed up way later than I ever should when I have class the next day. The only thing to make it better would be more alcohol, and a cute drunk girl who liked me enough to make out with me.

I'm still alive, but my roommate and I now have ~$50 of alcohol sitting on our counter ready to be consumed. So Im going to class in a bit, then getting drunk, going to a bbq, getting drunk, and hopefully finding the sort of girl last night lacked.

skingle 10-06-2006 02:51 PM

yeah 3/4s are nice and warm. I'd probably get a 3/4 if i got one. I don't think it would suit me though.

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:02 PM

I dont think they would me, my sister said it would though. I just wanna look like doctor who.

I dunno, i will get one next month i think, when it gets cold, i need one for teh rain atm.

/Reads the independant.

First time ive actully bothered with a real newspaper, its only 25p in the SU, so im gonna buy it now, very good for art reviews apparently.

Jom 10-06-2006 03:03 PM

Vince: reeeeeeeeeefl at your story - agreed with Nath.

Dude, come on, you know how it goes by now, hahaha.

And (h5) at having early classes... while buzzed!

skingle 10-06-2006 03:03 PM

Meh, I always find I can read about everything I want for free on the internet.

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:09 PM

I need this for uni.

I need to start collecting loads of art reviews, and information on shows now, for my contextual thing at the end of the year.

Makes nice reading, not reading crap.

Im considoring buying this design magazine ive found every month too, its like £10 though, it should help me out a lot though.

skingle 10-06-2006 03:10 PM

Hmm, if thats the price you have to pay I guess. Pretty stepp though.

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:13 PM

Yeah it is.

But if i wanna be a serious designer when i graduate, i need to put the time and money into it now, i need to find out designers and start going to more shows, and get more inspiration from these mags.

I have 2 papers from today, the independant, and the free metro off the bus, and got loads of info already, so over the year i could become this huge fountian of information haha.

skingle 10-06-2006 03:19 PM

Nice. Wow, i just realised you're coming up on 25,000. That was quick, huh?

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:24 PM

Yeah :(

I have no life.

Well i do now and my posting is low now, but still :(

skingle 10-06-2006 03:26 PM

Haha, no worries. So you still stuck with that squier p?

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:28 PM

Squier J i have, and yeah, i was gonna buy a new one on thursday, but them plans got fuked over when uni said they want the money for my berlin trip in the next 2 weeks :(

Also means i cant go out for my mates B/day tonight, oh well.

skingle 10-06-2006 03:31 PM

sucks. Yeah, I play bass too. How long have you been playing?

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:36 PM

3 years this coming christmas.

Youself?

skingle 10-06-2006 03:39 PM

Err, just past two at the beginning of august.

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:42 PM

Any good?

I suck haha.

My problem is all the realy hard music people play in the bass forum, i dont like, the hardest stuff to play i like is proberly muse, and i can play all there stuff, Which sucks now because i dunno what to do.

skingle 10-06-2006 03:45 PM

Ah, I was pretty lucky in that, as i progressed at bass, my tastes in music developed too. If you can play muse you're not bad. I can play most muse stuff but not all of it. I wouldn't consider myself good, I was pretty happy when I got new born down. All I can suggest is that you get genres of music you like with influences of genres you want to get into. Then you gradually get broken into that genre. Thats what I did, anyway.

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:47 PM

Yeah, i guess.

Im happy with my playing now though tbh, i know im not great, but hey, im good enough to be in a decent band i think, i just have to find one who wants me.

skingle 10-06-2006 03:49 PM

Coolcool. What kind of band (genre) would you go into, if you had the choice?

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:50 PM

Id like to play trumpet in a Ska band, or bass in some sort of pop-punk band.

And if i ever got a guitar, which i wanna after i geta new bass, i wana play in like a brit-pop kinda indie band.

skingle 10-06-2006 03:52 PM

Oh cool. I play in a pop punk band and in a folk band. What bass you saving for then?

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:54 PM

Depends how impatient i get.

If i cant wait for more then two month, i will either get a standard P bass, or a CIJ areodyne bass. The Fender ones.

If i can wait a while, i want either a Ray, a rickenbacker, or an American Duluxe P.

Im such a bad saver though, ill proberly just end up with a P bass.

skingle 10-06-2006 03:56 PM

I want a ray or an american J. I hated the feel of ricks, the necks are so 'sticky'. Ugh, hated it. Awesome sound though. You played a ric before?

Untitled 10-06-2006 03:58 PM

I havnt, i need to find somewhere that stocks them, the 2 big stores in manchester dont seem to have them, or at least they didnt a few weeks back. I walk past them both on the way to uni, i may pop in one day.

I realy like the tone that ived heard them though, and the looks, is ugly as sin, but i love it so much.

skingle 10-06-2006 04:00 PM

I hated the looks but now I love that too. Fireglo is an amazing paint job. It is honestly in the top 3 worst basses for feel that I have played though. A ray on the other hand. Absolutely lovely. Smoothest neck ive ever played. Just felt natural. £1000 though. hmm.

Untitled 10-06-2006 04:07 PM

Ive only ever playd a SUB, but i realy realy liked that, the neck felt realy nice, and the action was well low, i could tap on it quite well, i cant at all on my bass atm, the action is so high the strings are just too hard to push down, i get knackerd if i play a song with a lot of fret movement.

skingle 10-06-2006 04:09 PM

Haha. I didn'y like the SUB much either, it has a finished neck and it just didn't play nice. I'm pretty picky about my necks.

Untitled 10-06-2006 04:11 PM

Id prefer it if it was a non finished neck, it takes away from the look, but i didnt find it effected my playing to much.

What i realy want is a pedulla rapture, but at 2k.....
