I don't mind man, if I choose Nuclear Engineering I'm going to stay here and go to UT because they have a decent program and Oak Ridge National Labratory is like 20 minutes from it. I don't mind the tons of work it's a field that really interests me.

I'm pretty sure engineering doesn't require a PhD.

it seems like if you're gonna be a nuclear engineer you should probably get a masters. i live next to a nuclear power plant and i really hope they're hiring people with masters degrees.

Masters always help. I plan on getting mine right out of college if I can't find a company that would be willing to send me to get it after I worked for them for a couple years.

Products can range from the design of car engines, to a ferris wheel, to a cruise ship. Largest field. Works mainly on computers using drafting software (this is what I've done and like) designing numerous things.

Computer - software design and hardware integration. Anything from writing a program, to designing a processor, to creating a super computer. I enjoy this more, but it's harder. This will obviously be all on computers.

Yeah. There is a decent demand for the job too. I may take some business course and minor in that and some how pray some idiot highers me to manage his huge company or something and I get rich.

I'm taking A+Certification right now and I hate it. That probably has something to do with computer engineering.

I'm thinking of going for engineering too, i'd probably go to Drexel. I'm not sure what type, maybe environmental. Audio engineering sounds cool but i'm not sure about demand for that one, i'd probably start up a studio or something.

I'd imagine starting your own studio would be easier than finding a job in that business. That would be cool as hell to be able to record bands for a living.

Producing and doing audio engineering would be incredibly fun, but you'd have to be open to doing all types of music. I think you'd be better off starting your own studio too.

I'm doing chemical engineer, and you only need 4 years? You don't have to do grad school at all. It's a major bitch though, just to let you know.

Not for entry level sh[size="2"]i[/size]t, but for like research into fusion you generally need to have a masters/or above in physics just to be able to understand what the f[size="2"]u[/size]ck is going on. If I went into NE I would probaly have a minor in Environmental Science because the field two fields I'm interested in (Nuclear Waste Management and Reactor Design) need to have a solid understanding of the environment.

Yeah, it'd be harder to be succesful with and i'd have to do something else in the beginning to get by, but if it ended up working out my life would be awesome.
