dad was a bit of a rebel when he was younger has always had a kind of skewed sense of morality, my mother is more of a play by the rules traditionalist. they never got along and I picked up traits from both of them

my dad's a total hangover from the late 70's early 80's times when i'd imagine having a drumset or a car made you the most popular guy

first job offer was at the comp sci start up I worked at last year, pays $25/h and is fun and challenging and interesting but not related to my intended career

all I know about the second offer is that its a summer research position at an NRC research lab, and all those labs are fucking awesome

I just feel bad because I told my boss that I might not wokr there because I applied for some grants, didn't get them, then told them I would be working there in the summer. He then got a bunch of work lined up for me (I'm supposed to start first of may) and now I get this offer.

and yeah I'm not hard for cash, but it'd be nice to save up to move after my degree or use it to start my company
