o rly? o.0

I have a suicidal tendencies shirt that I wore to death one holiday. Now I can't wear it, it's so full of holes :(

the_uber_penguin 05-23-2006 09:11 AM

I wrote the least in my class on my English paper.

Not to worry, I normally get at least as high marks as them in the practice essays though.

In other news, I now have no exams until Uni (or retakes in November)

Patrick O))) 05-23-2006 09:16 AM

What's wrong with you people? I wrote tons on mine

lol

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 09:16 AM

i have a bad feeling the RE exam tomorrow is going to be fatally boring.

Mexican Bandito 05-23-2006 09:21 AM

RME was awsome :D
I loved that class.

Jev 05-23-2006 09:32 AM
im not that worried, i probably scrape a C like last year in the Language paper (took it a year early). Least i dont have to worry about another english paper.
I got a B in French last year :smoke:

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 09:35 AM
I got a B in French last year :smoke:
thats pretty cool. i do German though so i dont know if thats hard or not.

Jev 05-23-2006 09:44 AM

German's probably harder than French. I found most of French easy minus the speaking, so i did foundation speaking.

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 09:47 AM

the speaking was quite hard but i got enough practice since im half swiss :thumb:
the writing looks pretty hard but we did coursework instead which is pretty easy. The french side of the year didnt get the option to coursework haha to them.

Jev 05-23-2006 09:54 AM

I did Coursework and writing

Squirrel 05-23-2006 09:59 AM

mmm malonyl pathway

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:00 AM
I did Coursework and writing
really? did they both count for marks? we were told you do one or the other, or you do the coursework and if it turns out terrible then you go in for the exam.

Jev 05-23-2006 10:04 AM
really? did they both count for marks? we were told you do one or the other, or you do the coursework and if it turns out terrible then you go in for the exam.
Yeah they both counted.
I had 4 pieces of coursework to do, One piece of writing, I chose to write about a holday abroad or something, a listening exam, a speaking exam and a reading exam.

2 frickin' hours. Aparently the questions on higher were just as easy as foundation. And jesus christ my ICT exam was difficult. I couldn't think of any disadvantages for on-line shopping.

I'm quietly confident about my french. Done 3 practise reading papers and I got two A's and one A*. And I strolled C's on the two practise listeing exams. If I get anything close to that, plus my teacher said my listening and C/W were both B's I should be in for a high-ish grade.

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:08 AM
Yeah they both counted.

wait this holiday thing was like an exam thing, or a piece that you did over the year? when i said coursework i meant just stuff that you do over the year in class and stuff.

Jev 05-23-2006 10:08 AM

I did RE last year. I found it rather easy.
Holiday thing was an exam. I swear.

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:09 AM

yeah two hours of hellish boredom and squeaky chairs.
ICT was OK for me.

well then you didnt do coursework like i meant coursework, that was the writing exam. we did things in class like write about your work experience and stuff, and we could get the teachers help and you could work on it at home etc. thats the kind of coursework i was talking about.

Jev 05-23-2006 10:17 AM

I did do coursework. trust me. I did 4 pieces and i missed the deadline by a week and had to spend every day after school with my French teacher finishing them. I'll never forget that.

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:22 AM

well i dont know whats happening then, unless theres been a huge misunderstanding and you're actually talking about 3 years ago when you entered a Mathematics exam in portugal.

Jev 05-23-2006 10:27 AM

I did no such thing

Maybe you're on a different exam board or things have changed.

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:28 AM

thats the most likely explaniation. huh, so much for my portugal theory.

FVG27 05-23-2006 10:28 AM

Done my first two exams. I think I've done really well in English lit, I found it easy and I normally get A*s in my practice papers anyway *touch wood*. IT was harder than expected :-/

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:35 AM
IT was harder than expected :-/
i didnt get the question about Computer modals, i have no idea what they are.

2muchket! 05-23-2006 10:38 AM

What how with the spreadsheet can they produce a model. I didn't understand that.

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:42 AM

yeah that one. i just wrote stuff like 'spreadsheets can do calculations and stuff'.

Jev 05-23-2006 10:42 AM

I wasn't even entered for any ICT at all for some reason.

FVG27 05-23-2006 10:49 AM
What how with the spreadsheet can they produce a model. I didn't understand that.
Everyone I spoke to was confused about that. Stupid stupid question.... but then if everyone found it hard the boundaries will go down :)

Jev 05-23-2006 10:50 AM

Was the question actually worded like that?

jpshortstuff 05-23-2006 10:52 AM

it was something like: "Explain why spreadsheets are good for creating computer models".
the question before was: "spreadsheets are often used for computer models. explain what a computer model is" i think

Jev 05-23-2006 10:53 AM

I swear these exam boards are running out of questions. They seem to be re-wording the same question over and over.
