just look for something huge that should leak soon, and then jump on that right as it does, even if you have no interest in it and ride the ratio bump.

i did that with new thrice, coheed and cambria, and say anything when they all leaked within a 3-day period or whatever back on oink and then i had an awesome ratio, and then the site got shut down :(
i never know when new albums are coming out how do you know when something is about to leak

thats how
do i just type a band name in the blank box?

Anxious 03-21-2008 01:14 AM

You can, but the point is the page updates periodically so the leaks are usually there quick if you check it often.

Iscariot 03-21-2008 01:15 AM

oh ok gotcha

thanks
I gave that **** Buttons album a listen. Me and my friends have recorded crap exactly like that when testing new equipment.
It's so much more delicate than that, seriously. They are stunning live.

Interstate 03-21-2008 05:37 AM

Craig David - Born To Do It - Rediscovering my love for this album recently.
Kanye West - Graduation

City City City - The Perimeter Motor Show

Awesome "psych-kraut" indie post-rock from Melbourne. Real good.

Boilermaker 03-21-2008 08:10 AM

Screeching Weasel - Wiggle

Weird mix on this album, I don't know if I like it. However, the songs are great.

Interstate 03-21-2008 09:22 AM

T-Pain - Epiphany - Meh. The song about HIV made me lol.

Riziger 03-21-2008 09:32 AM

Mastodon.

Watched their download festival clip again. Awesome.
Stunning or explody? I imagine them piercing my eardrums.
Stunning. I mean, they're pretty loud, but they are surprisingly really good to watch visually and the intracacies of their songs can really be noticed at that volume.

Anxious 03-21-2008 12:41 PM

Kyle sounds like hipsters I'd like to punch in the face at shows.

okay 03-21-2008 12:47 PM

he sounds like one of the nerdy kids who wears glasses and is always there wtih his little buddy standing at the front and who you can tell only comes out of the house to go to shows of bands that he read on pitchfork about

Kyle 03-21-2008 01:16 PM

Seriously hate this website. It's full of people that profess open-mindedness because they make their OWN decisions about music and DON'T read Pitchfork, but then ironically they close their minds to any band that gets featured on the website. Sure, if a band gets a massively favourable review on Pitchfork I'll check them out, it's a music resource and that's what it's deisgned to do. At the same time they review a lot of shit, but so does any website. Look at Sputnik review site, geez. Not that it matters, butI saw Fuck Buttons live way before they were on the Pfork radar anyway.

i dont read Pitchfork so i dont know what gets favorable reviews or not v:)v

i think the Minus the Bear albums all get between 6.0-8.0 so good for them. speaking of which, Absinthe Party at the Fly Honey Warehouse is so fuckin sweet. like in the chorus when every guitar is playing something different, aaaah polyphony :D

sweboy 03-21-2008 03:22 PM

YDload, with all due respect, I was not reading Pitchfork waaay before you.
