Okay, slight update in the situation. I decided to give Firefox one more shot before going to sleep. The browser came up, and said it was waiting for my homepage. It then sort of went into torpor for a couple minutes. The little loading icon in the upper right corner wasn't moving, so I thought that meant the browser was frozen. But I could highlight and manipulate the toolbar just fine. Weird, huh?

I closed the window before it had the chance to crash, and double-clicked the shortcut again. This time, it comes up with a little mini-window telling me to choose my user profile. So this results in two questions.

1. Does this have anything to do with the current problem I'm having?
2. What the hell am I supposed to do now?

I left the little menu up, because I really don't want to do anything until I have even a vague clue about what I'm supposed to do.
I've had the user profile thing come up twice for me before. The first time, I left it alone, turned the computer off, and when I came back it was working. The second time nothing seemed to work, so I just re-installed Firefox. But yeah, the first time was from a virus, though I don't know why the second time occured.

Je suis terrible, I drunk too much last night and the consequential conga in my colon is in full flow. My mum made me some tomato soup to soak it up but it barely even touched my stomach before it was back in the bowl.

Drink a lot of water. Excessive drinking gets you dehydrated, you should do that before you get to bed, actually. I hardly ever get hang overs.

Yeah, I done that. The problem was I couldn't keep it down, so it didn't really help. My Dad's going along to the shops for Irn-Bru now, so that'll get rid of it.

So you didn't see QI?

:(

It was great.

NP The Wildhearts - Nondependence Day

I really rather wish that the songs on Landmines and Pantomimes had been developed into finished tracks, rather than being released half-cooked by East West after the band had broken up. Some of the songs (like Velvet Presley) are already fully formed and great, but others feel like a bunch of good ideas mixed with some less good ideas, in search of a song. Nondependence Day, for example; the intro and the first riff, and the verses are awesome, but it's kind of dragged down overall by the chorus and stuff. The rest's not bad, but doesn't live up to the start.

Water, Watermelon and Bread. The three best preventive measures for a hangover, ever.

My god. Irn-Bru is some kind of nectar of the Gods, isn't it? Is there anything it doesn't do?

Arucard 10-01-2005 06:19 AM

No, Irn Bru is good for everything. I was very annoyed that this girl didn't get into this club with me yesterday, so i knocked back some Irn-Bru's

I wasn't even drunk yesterday, its terrible :(

Oh well.

NW : Bleach.

Yeah, help you father children, apparently it reduces sperm count. However, I'd rather have a bottle of Irn-Bru than a son.

Reduces the chances of accidental pregnancy, you say?

Irn Bru is indeed awesome.

superpeer 10-01-2005 06:23 AM

I wish I could have some Irn Bru. :(

We don't have it. :upset:

Al needs to get over here, to buy me drinks and bring me Irn Bru.

Irn Bru. It's because Poms are retards.

I've never heard of it before... to the google.com! I don't get hangovers, but I get this weird feeling in my back muscles the next day.

Steerpike 10-01-2005 06:56 AM
It sounds really rooted. That Netscape thing has come up a couple of times for me and caused Firefox to crash straight away.

If you have no special settings for it, just uninstall/reinstall it. If so, try to export them before hand. The real problem may have a solution, but this way is probably quicker.
I have a feeling this will cause me to lose a shitload of my bookmarks, but I don't really have a choice right now.

superpeer 10-01-2005 06:59 AM

Copy the folder with your bookmarks in it.

Steerpike 10-01-2005 07:27 AM

Now that is the god damndest thing. All the bookmarks were exactly as I left them, even though half of them weren't available in Internet Explorer.

Well, I'm not going to waste brain cells thinking about it. I need to get to work on the next spotlight.

It was a good panel, too; Alan Davies (naturally), Bill Bailey, Rich Hall and Rob Brydon.

Still, just be sure to clear your schedule around 10pm for the next 11 Fridays.

NP Nonpoint - Endure

Veered away from my Wildhearts lust for a short while. Haven't listened to this album in a few months.

Right, i am considering making a crazily dangerous investment. I am thinking of buying 20 PSP's of ebay for £1,000, then selling them all of at retail price whilst the market for them is still hawt. PSP's on ebay go for 180 minumum, so do you guys think this a good idea, or too risky?

No, the panel usually changes every week (apart from Alan Davies, who seems to be a permanent, losing, fixture). I think all three of the others have been on before though, so they're all part of a little pool of panellists who are frequently asked to be on the show, so I wouldn't be surprised if they turn up again sometime throughout the series.

If you really want to invest 1000 pounds, give it to me, I'll buy a nice new sax and then give you back 2000 pounds when I make it big.

I don't know, people in America don't seem all the interested in PSPs (at least in my observations), and it's always sketchy to buy them from a person instead of from a retail store.

You aren't gonna get anywhere with a saxophone unless you're like Kenny G or something...who, by the way, deserves to have his nonexistant balls ripped off by a pack of fangorious rabid badgers.

So does mine. She also owns quite a few Michael Bolton albums.
