I've been listening to Xenomorph for like a year now, they're pretty sweet

I don't listen to much old school stuff just Deicide and Suffocation once in awhile.

Mortish is horrible.

randomly the other day my friend was looking up roger breujard (sp?) the mortician guitarist on youtube for some laughs and it turns out he's actually a really damn good guitarist that's in Mortician for god knows what reason

i was referring to the actual sound of the album, like the production, not so much the songs. for some reason i thought it was unlistenable when i first listened to it a few years back, too muffled or something. didnt have that problem at all this time around.

how is it absurd to claim that production is an important part of an album?

i mean, obviously you listen to stuff with **** production, but that stuff sounds good with **** production (or so i'm told). the production needs to fit the music. if death metal is going to sound powerful and heavy, it needs some powerful and heavy production, not ****ing tinny guitars that sound like bees and a non-existent bass drum.

i mean i guess some people don't understand the intricacies involved in production and thus don't appreciate when it's done perfectly to suit a record, but i personally think it's very important

I can only think of one Immolation album with poor production, that would be Harnessing Ruin, Close to a World Below has PERFECT production and you're deaf if you think otherwise.
