I kind of transitioned into metalcore so I don't think I have any entry bands exactly but I think Cave In was the turning point. I'm gonna listen to them now actually.

Still to this day I don't get the hubbub with Cave In.

Yeah that's what everyone says and I don't hear it.

Not everything they've done is great. But Until Your Heart Stops is pretty much flawless.

Most of their **** is top knotch but Ya UYHS's is amazing.

My first metalcore band was Botch.

Needless to say it's all been downhill from there.

I'd say that Converge and Unbroken are both better than Botch.

That's cool because that's just personal preference but personal preference can only go so far. I consider someone a metalcore noob if they don't listen Botch in top 5 metalcore bands.
