123. It's pretty intresting how most people here seem to be studying/intrested in philosophy or psychology. |

Philosophy is extremely interesting, I'm glad it's close enough to my subject ;)
It's pretty intresting how most people here seem to be studying/intrested in philosophy or psychology.
heh, indeed, whats this thing with the theoretical studies in here  |

So are you gonna be like a shrink, or something? Or are you just taking that course for the hell of it, just out of your interest? |

I'd love to work as a psychologist some day (yeah if I ever get a job :(), it's what I want to do in my life. |

That's cool, dude, good luck with that! I was actually planning on going to the Guitar Institute in Hollywood, but there is a big chance my band might be touring up through Iowa next summer, so I'm putting that on hold... Plus, I don't have the cash. |
psychology :)
So you've started now? How are you finding uni life? I can't wait until I go to uni, I've pretty much decided that my course will be Chemical Physics with Industrial Experience but in the first two years I will study philosophy too (it's more or less compulsory to study two courses, focusing on one, for your first couple of years at Edinburgh). |

Livingston, But I'm in Manchester for Uni. 10 miles ins't a big enough distance to get you into the halls though, is it? |
Livingston, But I'm in Manchester for Uni.
10 miles ins't a big enough distance to get you into the halls though, is it?
I don't know, I didn't know there were restrictions. I really hope I can get into the halls because I think that's a really important part of getting to know people and stuff. If I can't get into the halls then I'll probably end up going elsewhere, even though it might not be as good a uni for my course. Was it you that posted pictures of your dorm that was loaded up with Irn-Bru? What are you studying? |
So you've started now? How are you finding uni life?

Livi ia about 20 miles away from Edinburgh, I think, and some of me mates that went there didn't get accepted because they lived within a reasonable commuting distance. I imagine that it wouldn't just distance that gets taken into account but probably ease of travel as well. We have trains, buses and the motorway to get there easily. I don't know what it's like in your little village, though. And yes, you really, really, really should move out if you can. It's so much fun. And yes, I moved to Manchester with a full supply of Bru. It's stupidly expensive down here :upset: And I'm studying Information Systems. Apparently I kinda left myself with no choice with the grades I got :upset: |
hey if you guys are bored look at this and turn your volume way up

i just realised theres not much point in having Durham and Manchester as my 2 top choices, as one needs BBB and the other needs ABC, so i'm going to put Lancaster down instead, as i need BCC to go there, provided i get offers from all my choices.
only my personal statement to do now, and i've got ages to get that done. its taking ages though. NP: Iron Maiden - Killers |
Man, it is cold up here in Michigan..

Man, it's temperate here in central Pennsylvania.

just rains here in good ol' Nortumberland, England. well, it didn't rain too much today, but it did yesterday.
and, according to the meteorologists, we're going to have our coldest winter since 1995 this winter  |

I can get to the physics building with two or three buses so they probably won't accept my transport complaints either. I'll probably end up elsewhere in that case, my chemistry teacher told me to go to St Andrews, because there's apparently a female to male ratio of 2:1 (dirty old man++). \m/ Irn-Bru \m/ |

I finnaly got one of those lastfm accounts so if anyone is interested here we go: http://www.last.fm/user/Rothmans/ It always updates striaght away for me which is good. |
