playguitar 06-18-2004 06:24 PM

robs good

^ it really makes me mad when people say he sucks at bass because of st. anger, when he didnt even write any songs on that album. he rocked as ozzys bassist.

sMURFJEW 06-18-2004 06:25 PM

The only thing that ive herd having to do with the new album is that Rob said James was on fire. Rob said james was coming up with riffs like crazy. good news.

Now beer :chug:

playguitar 06-18-2004 06:41 PM

clown_phobia 06-19-2004 03:09 AM

Gungis

DisposableHeroes 06-19-2004 03:58 AM

What do you reckon Rob will bring to the band?

kp1969pj1961 06-19-2004 04:24 AM

metallica is the best metal band ever i dont see alot of platinum stickers on everybody elses cds saying they have sold a million copies or more

kp1969pj1961 06-19-2004 04:28 AM

oh and all four members of metallica are legendar yrob is the best bass player james and kirk are the best guitarists and lars is the best drummer they kick all the other bands ***

Squirrel 06-19-2004 04:45 AM

Best guitarists ? No where near
Best drummer ? No where near
Best Bassist ? No where near

Theyre good at what they do and they write brilliant music but they are NO WHERE near best. Ever.

DisposableHeroes 06-19-2004 04:46 AM

There are far more talented people in other bands, i'm sure there are a lot of death/black metal groups far more skilled

Squirrel 06-19-2004 04:51 AM

^ exactly.

DisposableHeroes 06-19-2004 04:52 AM

i mean, Tony Laurano (i think thats how its spelled) of nile is i think far better than Lars

Squirrel 06-19-2004 05:00 AM

Deffo' - doesnt he do double bass at like 230 bpm ?

All of Cryptopsy are better at their instruments; same goes for all other technical death bands.

DisposableHeroes 06-19-2004 05:09 AM

he does it incredibly fast throughout most of their songs, i'd like to see some drummers try to do unas slayer of the gods.

Facsimile 06-19-2004 05:29 AM
metallica is the best metal band ever i dont see alot of platinum stickers on everybody elses cds saying they have sold a million copies or more
I've never seen that on any CD...

Squirrel 06-19-2004 05:38 AM

^Watch the black album DVD - you'll see :)

MetalLord 06-19-2004 05:42 AM

regarding metallicas new album...
I think/ hope that Metallica released St. ANger as a joke because we all know that they are rich cunts and could afford to do it, so in their new album i hope that the songs are like kill em all and ride the lightning stuff and has solos and if lars uses that ****!ng sh!t snare again im going to have to take myself to a mental institute. that is all

Squirrel 06-19-2004 05:44 AM

Releasing an album as a joke ? wtf..

And, you just said what we've all said a million times before.

metal_militia15 06-19-2004 05:52 AM

that snare thing on st.anger is anoyying and lots of ppl know that so lets talk about somethin else metallica related

Kreator 06-19-2004 07:27 AM

yeah

bump

Big-Bird 06-19-2004 07:30 AM

what if metallica still had cliff burton?

Kreator 06-19-2004 07:33 AM

i don't think that their would be a big differnce maybe st anger would be different

Toozey 06-19-2004 07:34 AM

I dont think they would be big now with Cliff.

Big-Bird 06-19-2004 07:37 AM

aww come on. cliff was the man. maybe he could have told the guys not to do load and reload

Kreator 06-19-2004 07:37 AM

why not?

EDIT: to toozey

Squirrel 06-19-2004 07:52 AM

Who knows ? it's the kinda predicament we've got when we say How good would Becker have been if he didnt get ALS; he may have given up / got bored / got better / done crap work etc.

Cliff with his classical knowledge and theory may have made them more and more technical and brought them to the load era quiker - who knows.

Big-Bird 06-19-2004 07:54 AM

im ok with that. but i liked jason too. rob really doesnt do much
