Nice, don't get too drunk

i wish that Sabbath would be played more around where i live instead of that stupid fucking crazyfrog ringtone/song

Brew 06-30-2005 02:54 PM

''Don't worry guys, I won't be getting too drunk tonight''

Some famous last words said by me a few times...

I'm hoping to take control of the music for around half an hour, most of the year 13's seem to be interested in my music taste so they shouldn't mind too much...

shadow_stalker 06-30-2005 02:58 PM

So basically your gonna get pissed off of your head?

Brew 06-30-2005 03:04 PM

Possibly, here's the plan for the night:

9.15pm - Head to the pub for a few pints
11pm - Wander over to the party, possibly smoking some weed if I can get any
11.15pm onwards - Rum drinking + having fun.

I've calmed the drunken side of my personality down a bit in recent months, so in theory it should be a fun night with minimal embarressment and studpity from me :)

shadow_stalker 06-30-2005 03:11 PM

1 hour and 45 mins at the pub? you could well be pissed by the time you get to the party!

If you drink rum you should talk like a pirate

Brew 06-30-2005 03:17 PM

I know I should be drunk by the time I get to the party, but lack of funds means buying many pints shall be difficult.

I'm already thinking of some fun pirate phrases to say to various people during the night.

shadow_stalker 06-30-2005 03:21 PM

Everyone loves pirates and if they don't then they should!

rippa32 06-30-2005 07:11 PM

Geeaaarhhhhhh!
And in the famous words of Guybrush Threepwood "I wanna be a pirate"

Looks like someone will be having a great night. :p

rippa32 07-01-2005 04:55 AM

Tell me TSASI, why are you always changing users? I coulda sworn you were TSASI v2 before.

AA-12 07-01-2005 04:56 AM

I got banned, haha.

rippa32 07-01-2005 05:00 AM

You seem to get banned alot, how do you manage it?

AA-12 07-01-2005 05:01 AM

I just don't take things seriously on here, haha.

I just noticed this so sorry for the double post. Crazy Frog song? They actually made a song of that? and its popular? I think I have finally lost all fleeting faith in humanity.

rippa32 07-01-2005 05:06 AM

Ive never seen you ever do anything ban-worthy, is it usually in the pit or something?
And seeing as were goin off track a bit here lets talk sabbath. Has anyone here got any rare songs from them? I myself have a blues song they did in '69

AA-12 07-01-2005 05:11 AM

It's always in the pit, haha. That's where I post usually.

It beat Coldplay and made it to the number 1 spot in the charts :upset:

I have that song 'early warning school' that they did, some stuff Andy posted awhile ago and of course the stuff from the early 70s/late 60s that is on disc 2 of past lives.

Brew 07-01-2005 10:04 AM

I've got The Rebel...well..23seconds of it, Early Warning School and some stuff I posted before.

I keep looking out for rare and live Sabbath stuff but its hard to come by :(

AA-12 07-01-2005 10:09 AM

Hahaha, I can't believe that piece of **** frog is actually a song over there. I'm lucky, i've only seen a crazyfrog commercial once.

On subject though, I can get some live bootlegs of Sabbath probably.

TerryThorne 07-01-2005 11:51 AM

Yeah live bootlegs would be good, lot more power on those songs

shadow_stalker 07-01-2005 01:14 PM
I keep looking out for rare and live Sabbath stuff but its hard to come by :(
Of course it is, if you could buy it on cds it wouldnt be rare, so then there wouldnt be anything special about it.

and omg josh is banned again, how does that boy do it?

rippa32 07-01-2005 06:09 PM

I like the live recordings alot better because theres no **** overdubbing in the solos, it can get really annoying, Iommi especially overdoes it in Into the Void.

 I think i'm setting a record. :-|

rippa32 07-01-2005 06:29 PM

So do I.

shadow_stalker 07-02-2005 01:08 PM

I have decided that i am going to get all my sabbath demos (and other things of that nature) and put them all onto a cd, so i can listen to them away from my comp.

I think a lot of metal bands do that.

shadow_stalker 07-02-2005 01:15 PM

Hope this works, for anyone that hasnt heard it here is a cover of 'hole in the sky' by machine head, tis cool.

Cover Stuff

:)

Ok, I want to know who's doing what for this covers project thing, we've only got about 3 weeks left ('til August 1st) to get everything sorted.

All I know is that I'm playing bass and programming drums, I think Craig (i_am_jim_page) is doing guitar, but I'm not too sure if thats a definate.

We still need a singer.

If you can get your recordings to me in MP3 format I can hopefully get them into Cubase and mixed together with my bass and the programmed drums.

Here's my proposed song list:

NIB
Heaven and Hell
Hole in the Sky
Iron Man
Paranoid (heh...I guess we should do this)

Discuss!

:)

MaidenMadness 07-02-2005 02:28 PM

god **** i cant even imagine how will that sound like :D

Brew 07-02-2005 05:12 PM

Yes, it will sound great

...

rippa32 07-03-2005 12:54 AM
I think a lot of metal bands do that.
I don't mean dubbing the rythm, if you listen carefully theres a second lead guitar playing on a few of his solos, its easy to tell which one wouldnt be played live(it doesnt happen the whole time) but its still annoying.

Brew 07-04-2005 11:41 AM

bump from page 4.

Guys, we really need to get started on recording our covers...even if they end up being instrumentals.

I want input from everyone on what songs we should do rather than just leaving me to choose them etc...

:)

shadow_stalker 07-04-2005 12:21 PM

I think you should do...

paranoid (obviously)
NIB
TV crimes
and finally something from the martin era, possibly black moon or headless cross.

But if it ends up being instrumental i think you should do wicked world, because that song is built for improvising and avoid doing things like paranoid (due to the fact that it is the same riff over and over)

comptonassrobert 07-04-2005 02:00 PM

/agrees 100% with shadowstalker.

NIB would be really fun do hear

Brew 07-04-2005 02:02 PM

I'd love to do TV Crimes but from what I remember, finding a bass tab was a bit of a bugger.

Aeaon 07-04-2005 02:26 PM

To me, it should some stuff from Paranoid and Master of Reality.

Brew 07-04-2005 02:28 PM

I'd only really do Paranoid from the Paranoid album, just because everyone will probably moan if we don't do it.

Kyle 07-04-2005 02:34 PM

I havn't posted here in ages so im sorry if this has already come up but:

DO you know if they have any plans to do a full UK tour (or at least a few big venues) any time soon? I would love it if they did the same thing with VR and BLS in the UK.
