Possibly, but it's irrelevant. Just post the first C.R. you think of when you hear the word. |

Meh...They're more Blues. English Rock bands usually don't perform Country well, or just don't do it. The Beatles and John Lennon do it okay.

Well then why are they always preaching alabama? In their live performances they mention it like 10 times.
Rolling Stones have some great country
I could do without the Rolling Stones. |

Listen to the song "Crippled inside"

No **** I was saying that some Stones songs are country they are Blues\Soul\pop\Rock\country......ect  |
I'm talking about your picks, not in general. Those songs are more blues songs than country.
They were both (more blues though). They obviously has blues elements like all rock bands at that time. But they were also country-ish.
That's whats puzzled me for quite some time. |
Kieth richards is the driving force in the Rolling Stones and he is blues man at heart (look at his covers of Robert Johnson) and in turn its hrd to classify the Rolling Stones as anything other than Blues, not country.
Yep. The best thing about the stones is catchy riffs. Have good songwriting and a good singer and you have yourself one of the most popular rock bands of the 60s (and some 70s I think).
I find Mick Jagger's stage antics quite annoying.
^die
Why^ His dancing is annoying and stupid but somethings wil never change. I'd just rather focus my attention to Keith instead.
Fine, be that way
(was kidding :( ) |
I could do without listening to the Rolling Stones.
Fixed. ;) They had the quite the influence, you have to admit. |
I can't stand listening to the whole 40 Licks CD. I think a reduced version would have been better, it just drags on.

That's a great compilation with great song order. Dont know what you're talking about. |
well, i agree that dylan is king. and ccr kicks much as.s as well...but im not really into the stones either.
The stones are just a great rock and roll band to me.
a lot of stones songs bore me, but i like some of them like paint it black and mother's little helper
Their songs are not supposed to be power ballads or legends, just good listening songs.
No, not boring. |
Well, if they are supposed to be good listening, and people are bored...Someone's failing :p
Opinion. I love them.
Some songs i do enjoy but mostly i have to stop in the middle of the song and put on some yardbirds, or queen, or zeppelin, or something
Listen to the whole song before you judge it.
i do. i usually listen to a song twice before i make an opinion on it, but with some songs that i dont like the 2nd time i stop it
I grow tastes. I used to hate the Stones. Then I listened to White Horses and I got hooked.
that's one of the songs i dont like. just my uncared about opinion
I think it's a beautiful song, Kieth's soloing is great.
I only like the Stones in small doses. When they come on the radio it doesn't bother me, but I wouldn't really want to sit down and listen to a whole album.
^^^^kinda what i was trying to say
