Rolling Stones have some great country

Meh...They're more Blues. English Rock bands usually don't perform Country well, or just don't do it. The Beatles and John Lennon do it okay.

They were both (more blues though). They obviously has blues elements like all rock bands at that time. But they were also country-ish.

That's whats puzzled me for quite some time.

Kieth richards is the driving force in the Rolling Stones and he is blues man at heart (look at his covers of Robert Johnson) and in turn its hrd to classify the Rolling Stones as anything other than Blues,not country.

Yep. The best thing about the stones is catchy riffs. Have good songwriting and a good singer and you have yourself one of the most popular rock bands of the 60s (and some 70s I think).

I find Mick Jagger's stage antics quite annoying.

well, i agree that dylan is king. and ccr kicks much as.s as well...but im not really into the stones either.

The stones are just a great rock and roll band to me.

a lot of stones songs bore me, but i like some of them like paint it black and mother's little helper

Their songs are not supposed to be power ballads or legends, just good listening songs.

i do. i usually listen to a song twice before i make an opinion on it, but with some songs that i dont like the 2nd time i stop it

I grow tastes. I used to hate the Stones. Then I listened to White Horses and I got hooked.

I think it's a beautiful song, Kieth's soloing is great.

I only like the Stones in small doses. When they come on the radio it doesn't bother me, but I wouldn't really want to sit down and listen to a whole album.
