^ I'm not sure, but I talk to him on aim all the time.

Any king crimson fans? Listen to the album thrak, it pretty much rules.

The Ska Man 03-27-2007 08:08 PM

Who *doesn't* like King Crimson?

Even I love'em

Undisco Kidd 03-27-2007 08:09 PM

Tonight I finally came out of the left-handed closet.

I was born left handed, but I never truly embraced it. I always thought it was 'wrong' and 'strange'. I was always taught that the proper way to drum was with the right hand. Tonight I decided to be true to myself.

Going through the Drummers Cookbook with my left hand on the hats. So great.

Over spring break I'm going to play the Wilcoxin solos with a left hand lead.

Don't think theres a thing out there that I do right handed, nothing feels comfortable that way.

I'm trying to get my ratio up so I can invite some people. If you're still looking for one by the time that happens (probably not any time soon), I'll throw you one.

You can try posting in the thread "Oink Invites" in the videogames subforum on here though. That's how I got invited.

Hahaha, not quite.

Going naked = arrest for public indecency.

Sunshine 03-27-2007 09:41 PM

So.
I got my ears pierced.
Again.
3rd holes...7 overall [got a cartilage].
It was illegal, me being 17, no parent consent.
But I work at Claire's, and had to close last night, and me and my assistant manager are buddies, and she wanted to get some more piercing-practice in, sooo...thats how that went.
My parents still havn't noticed =/

Here, you don't need consent for ear piercings over the age of 16. I know there's a couple other spots you can get pierced, but nipples are 18. 4 of my friends were going to go get theirs done together for some reason, but only 2 of them were 18 at the time. They still haven't pierced them.

TTTSNB 03-27-2007 09:49 PM

Nice- a friend of mine got an industrial recently.

Sunshine 03-27-2007 10:13 PM

I'm getting an industrial when I turn 18, Claire's doesn't do 'em.

But WOW.
My dad just inspected my earrings, because the bottom is a skull.
He looked really closely at my ears.
And didn't notice the biggest earring of them all, the new one, the 3rd hole.
Wow.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I'd think they'd notice...at least from 8 inches away =/

The Ska Man 03-27-2007 10:15 PM

I'm probably getting some stretching(but first piercing =P) done for some plugs sometime in the near future. And I'd like to have a couple of really small rings on each ear, but I'm not sure about that.

Sunshine 03-27-2007 10:17 PM

Ewwwwwwww.
Gauges are nasty.
The only one I've got is a 14, and that's not big at all...in the cartilage.
And only because it got stretched in a minor crowd-surfing accident during Less Than Jake.
Life lesson: Be careful when you choose exactly which earrings you're going to wear to a concert if you're planning on crowd surfing. Posts might seem like a good idea at the time, but it's a lie.

Win A Rabbit 03-27-2007 10:27 PM

I made an awesome birthday card for my dad today. I was at work and it was pretty slow for a while, and one of the girls I was working with started making a going-away card for a staff member who's going away (obviously), so I figured I could make one for my dad.

Whenever I make cards I just limit what I use to the bare essentials, then work from there just improvising.

I made a cool spiral on the front (looped around 6 times) and put little folded pieces of paper as springs on the bottom, increasing lengths, so the spiral gets higher and higher. Then on the inside I made a pop-up birthday cake.

Pretty cheesy, but it was fun. All with using 2 pieces of construction paper, one pair of scissors, and a glue stick.

Creativity with crafts ftw.

Happy Birthday to dad!:smoke:

Just 'cause you don't like Less Than Jake doesn't make them horrible =/
