Envious of the music or turntable?

Becuase if it's the music, if this hiss reduction I'm doing works, I can send it to you.

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 12:56 AM

both i guess

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 01:00 AM

who cares about the hiss? lo-fi is where its at.

asdf 01-07-2007 01:05 AM

Yeah, that's what my friend said when I told her about it. But it's been doing hiss reduction for about an hour now, and I'm not about to stop it.

bleep_bloop 01-07-2007 01:06 AM

ok. well then thats not bad youll just have a cleaner sounding recording.

and of course,

its a song

but now ive taken it down

because i decided i like another song more at the moment.

Zappa 01-07-2007 12:19 PM

Use a lowpass filter, not hiss reduction.

EDIT: I guess I've lost familiarity with cooledit. If you use an effect on a channel instead of on an audio file, don't you not have to wait for it to process the whole thing to hear if it works well? Then you can just save the mixdown with the effect on the one channel that you have your audio in.
