DJ Ducksauce 04-01-2006 11:19 PM

I get to sleep in manana.

Mute Print 04-01-2006 11:19 PM

Hello everyone. How's it going?

I wiped my computer today, and now I'm in the process of trying to get things back to normal. I'm thinking wiping it was a mistake though, even if it did get rid of the pop-pups, viruses, etc. :-\

Wiped how?

Mute Print 04-01-2006 11:21 PM

Yes, I have it backed up on an external hard drive. Plus, it didn't get deleted even though I expected it to.

Edit - To Matt
Wiped how?
Like, complete system restore back to day one basically, although for some reason it didn't clear any of my documents, music, etc.

It takes awhile to get everything back to normal. I've wiped a few times myself.

Pazz 04-01-2006 11:23 PM

We usually take our computer in to get wiped. The last time we did, I had to burn all my songs onto CDs to save it. At the time I only had like 300 songs.

Mute Print 04-01-2006 11:23 PM

It's the first I've done it, but it's bizarre. Like, a lot of my desktop icons are still intact, but the programs no longer work/are installed.

DJ Ducksauce 04-01-2006 11:24 PM

Just re-install them from a disk or something.

Pazz 04-01-2006 11:24 PM

It's always a pain in the ass adding everything back onto the computer.

Mute Print 04-01-2006 11:25 PM

I know, I still have to get around to that, but I don't feel like it tonight.

I think it'll have been worth it once everything is back to normal.

I didn't have that much of importance anyway.

Odd. SHould have re-installed the OS for max efficiency...

Matt: That's like 1 CD :p

I have over 10000 songs :-\

Mute Print 04-01-2006 11:27 PM

I have 16,000+ songs. As long as they still work (which they do), I'm happy.

The funny thing is,for as much as I download, I still buy a lot of music. I think people who download often buy more music than your average radio listener.

DJ Ducksauce 04-01-2006 11:30 PM

I have a program that lets me put around 450 songs on 1 CD for a certain CD player.

CommieCanada 04-01-2006 11:30 PM

/only has 1280 songs

/actually buys CDs
