I LOOOOOVE Tragedy.
|
FAR is better. So is Kylesa. But Tragedy is still amazing.
Kylesa and CTTS are good friends. I thought that was kinda wierd until I considered their music. |
I can't decide if I like Kylesa or not.
|
I happen to be obsessed with bands from Savanna.
Kylesa is coming through soon; it'll be sick to see them with their dual drummers now. |
Dual drummers? That is crazy.

Do Kylesa have dual drummers all the time?
|
No, they just recently added a second drummer, so on all the recording and past tours, they had one, but now they have two that play together contantly. They do sick things like one drummer keeping the beat while the other solos and ****. Like this:

Right on. |
Anyone else like Black Sabbath? I used to wave them off as another band trendy Hot Topic kids listen to, but people call them the godfathers of doom metal, so I took another listen. I like more of their less popular songs. Like, listen to "Electric Funeral", and you'll hear where doom metal/sludge bands get their influence.

Black Sabbath > most. They were the first "heavy" band I got into because my dad used to jam 'em when I was a kid. Such an amazing band. |

Black Sabbath is one of those bands that can be hyped by trendy fags and still be fucking awesome. Like J, I heard these guys growing up because my dad would listen to them all the time. Geezer would write some sick bass lines which made me want to play bass, listen to NIB for examples of his crazy as shit bass playing. |
The riff in "Black Sabbath" is the heaviest, most evil riff ever. Nothing even comes close.
anyway http://www.sputnikmusic.com/review_8498 >_> |
That song is sick. If you like that songs, listen to Graves at Sea.
|
Black Sabbath is one of the greatest songs ever. I LOVE that riff.

Br00tal. |
Haha what the hell mang.
This one's better: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YsgEdbJlA1I Watch the guy in the white and blue shirt. He's standing in the center of the void, sees the crowd closing in on him, and doesn't even blink and eye, just stands there. What a ****ing badass. For Evan: I'm not sure when Kylesa is coming through, but I know Davie is trying to book them for Ione and he said we'd play that, and we're trying to get them to play a show in Sac with us, too. |

That's crazy. Repulsion rules. |
Has anyone ever heard of Thulsa Doom? really good band, female vocals.
|
Yeah, man. Felic Havoc was at a show at the Gilman, and a few guys found some original print copies of the Thulsa Doom/Distraught split 7" in the records he was selling. Hella sick.
|
I wanna hear some Thulsa Doom!
