So I'm going to a burning spear concert, not really classic rock, but I saw some talk about them here.

Reagge concerts are cool, i think its as close to woodstock as I can get.
Sweet, get yourself to a Jimmy Cliff concert, cause Jimmy Cliff > all.

I love Reggae, except Rastafarianism; it's a bit hypocritical.

White_heat 06-23-2005 06:24 PM

I live in an island which is 100 miles long, 35 miles wide, sucks i cant go to any concerts that are outside of this place, no hippie roadtrips for me. Maybe he will come here someday.

Badmoon 06-23-2005 06:26 PM

Where do you live?

Does anyone have Marcus Garvey?

White_heat 06-23-2005 06:31 PM

Puerto Rico

No, I really want to have it, I heard it's their best.

I don't have anything by them, i listen to them at my friend's car and house, she's a big big fan.

Badmoon 06-23-2005 06:36 PM

Ah, Slowhand's from Puerto Rico, I think; he hasn't been here in awhile.
I don't have anything by them
Neither do I

Who was the drummer for John Mayell and the Bluesbreakers with Clapton? He's pretty good.

babyz4801 06-23-2005 07:21 PM
ok ok, i admit it, i'm a classic rock nut. i love led zeppelin, the beatles, the who, eric clapton, the doors, and so on. most of the bands i listen to broke up years before i was born. at 17, nearly every song on my playlist is older than me. but is it just my imagination, or is classic rock experiencing sort of a revival. i am running into an increasing number of classic rock fans my age. at my school (an all boys high school), the school newspaper took a poll of everyone's favorite genre and band. led zeppeling got 5th and the beatles got 6th, behind that rap crap. classic rock made up a large percent of ppls favorite genre. is this just by me, or are other ppl noticing this too?

This is the thread for general classic rock discussion.
Rap is not classic rock.

So get the hell out of this thread if you don't want to talk about classic rock. Go start a rap thread.

I don't really care when you joined or how much you post, but your posts aren't contributing anything worthwhile to the thread.

Here's an idea:

Shut the fuck up.

Usually, I don't respond that way, but you are just completely ignorant.

You can shut the hell up too.

You aren't contributing anything to the thread, just starting pointless arguments.

My dad loves them, and he always used to listen to them in the car so they kinda grew on me.

He taught me the bass part to Bodhisava (sp?) so he could solo over me and showoff...

Well, that sounds awful naughty.

So Steve Miller is a cool guy.

Almost Famous is a great movie, I really enjoy it. The bassist isn't really a character enough to find out who he represents. I only connected the drummer with John Bonham because of looks a little bit, but mostly because of the set.
