What is the difference between PSAT and SAT?

EDIT: I know its not college tests, but the scores go on your application. so I call it college stuff.

PSAT is pretty much just practice for the SAT, it is also looked at by scholarship organizations and the like.

I see. I thought that you didnt have to take the PSAT, I just wasn't sure.

10th grade: Practice PSAT nothin counts
11th Grade: Real PSAT, can get scholarships and the like.
12th grade: SAT, be scared.

9-10th: Useless PSAT's
11th: Real SAT's
12th: Take SAT's a second time to try and improve

PSATs were mad easy.
