warlock?
lol does that look like a fucking warlock

know your bc rich models

Morumbar 01-11-2012 07:20 AM

Nah, it's a P7 Series Virgin.

I've never been a fan of those in-your-face BC Rich guitar shapes, but it's a seven-string, it plays well and I got it for €60, so I'm not complaining. Plus, seven stringed guitars are mostly used for metal, so in this case I actually think it's kinda fitting that it looks metal.

BethanyLizard 01-11-2012 07:34 AM

i want to get a bich or mockingbird any BC Rich that isnt warlock or flying v

Gorgon 01-11-2012 09:09 AM

guitars with more than 6 strings

lol

hismajestythepope 01-11-2012 09:13 AM

Still not exactly sure what logic that is, but okay.

Gorgon 01-11-2012 09:16 AM

because the lower string on a guitar just means that the guitarist is more likely to play the root note for a chord

which is generally the job of the bassist

and the people who get 7 strings don't do it because they play chords with 6 or 7 notes in it, they just wanna play lower notes. I don't know why they'd wanna do that though

hismajestythepope 01-11-2012 09:19 AM

A bassist playing along with a guitarist in B is going to play in a lower tuning themselves, in most cases, so no, they're not going to be doing the bassist's job.

I don't know why you'd criticize somebody for wanting a deeper tone, and I don't know why you'd ignore the fact that a lot of people use the 7 string to play in B without sacrificing the higher strings.

Proof that playing in B can sound fucking awesome.

Gorgon 01-11-2012 09:24 AM

headphones are broken so can't listen :\

I've never found the whole bass oriented metal thing to be very good. Can't think of many bands that I've thought haven't sounded really corny after tuning super low.
Only one coming to mind is Sikth

Morumbar 01-11-2012 09:37 AM

I rarely play conventional power chords, unless I'm playing some thrash or power metal. Yes, I wanted a seven string guitar to play lower. It can change the feel of a song quite a lot, imo. Warning or Worship would probably sound weird in E standard tuning.

Gorgon 01-11-2012 09:40 AM

I just think they sound like shit but that's just me I guess
