Uh, no

Biscuit_box 06-30-2005 07:28 PM
That's called going deaf.
Are you not supposed to be playing poker drunk ?

metty16 06-30-2005 07:28 PM

It's called getting used to the noise

RetiredAt21 06-30-2005 07:28 PM

Uh, yeah, I'm pretty sure you're going partially deaf.

metty16 06-30-2005 07:29 PM

I just am getting used to how loud it is and I'm coping with it

RetiredAt21 06-30-2005 07:31 PM

My guitar still sounds as loud as it did the day I started playing. I think you are going deaf.
My guitar still sounds as loud as it did the day I started playing. I think you are going deaf.
Yeah, even now when i turn up my bass as loud as it can go it still makes me jump a bit. My room is really small and the walls shake too. Really freaky when i stick on the Ultrabass and the house starts to vibrate

What amp you got?

metty16 06-30-2005 07:40 PM

thats scary, man (to biscuit box)

Biscuit_box 06-30-2005 07:41 PM
What amp you got?
A behringer BX1200, it's loud enough for practise and to shake my small house. It's 120 watt. But i'm getting a stack with a 300 watt head and a 8 ohm cab. Oh yes... it will be a bítch to move but it will let me be heard more so than my guitarists 65watt Fender
Edit: What amp do you have?

Metty : yeah it is, my drummer hates the noise of the Ultrabass, he has told me on numberous occasions that i'm not allowed to use it when he's around

RetiredAt21 06-30-2005 07:45 PM

I have a Marshall full stack. LOUD.

sketchyjoe 06-30-2005 07:47 PM

My bass amp is pretty small but I can still make my house shake.

I have a Fender 100 watt Rumble amp. It is loud enough to shake my house and the **** outside my house. But that's only the stuff laying against the house, and I've only had it up to '7' on the volume knob. My room is too small. That and it's got a slap type effect, if I turn that on and all the knobs up, I could break the window in my bedroom.

No cause then I gotta pay for a new one. And I don't have money.
Edit: I cracked that window like twelve years ago, there is clear duct tape holding it together.

Brain Toad 06-30-2005 07:51 PM

Haha, yeah you really should! My windows are double glazed so i don't know if they would break. But i always have my window open so that would release most of the bass vibrations before they cause any destruction. Even if i have my amp up to '3' i always get told to turn it down.

TAND 06-30-2005 07:52 PM

Same with me, which is why mine is usually at two, and I don't jam at my house. But when everyone leaves it goes up to about five, to where my neighbors can hear me.

Brain Toad 06-30-2005 07:53 PM

It was a joke I did the last one, because it's really stupid when people get excited about postcount numbers, and it ended coming out to be a really cool number.
I'm going to Folsom in August. family reunion.
folsom is SUPERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR BORING! while you are there, you need to see two clubs that i love and am about to go to in a few minutes

http://www.undergroundcafe-roseville.com/home.php

its not in folsom but its close and has a whole lot of really good hardcore bands including the blue letter and conducting from the grave

http://www.boardwalkrocks.com/boardwalk.php4

the boardwalk is one of the premire clubs that mostly every band and their mother have played, played there once and got drunk as hell

check out those places

One day i had some music on loud and was playing along with my bass and my dad came into my room ( didn't notice until he nudged me ) and said he could hear it like 50foot away from the house in the car... So i replied "hah! lucky you!" he wasn't too pleased.

metty16 06-30-2005 07:57 PM

My neighbors heard me inside their house(100 ft away) with their windows shut and so were mine.

Haha. Brilliant. My band were practising and Donkey ( a ginger farmer ) was coming down to dance the robot dance while we played... have no idea how that came about, but anyway, he lives a 30 second bike ride away ( he has one of those really noisey scrambler motorbikes and rides it as fast as he can) and said he could hear us as he was getting on the bike. Either we were really loud or farmers have really good hearing!

metty16 06-30-2005 08:03 PM

I knew we shouldn't have had official threads...they die

Farmers have good hearing. One was telling me about this time he heard his horse get up in the stable, and his house was a good 100 ft away.

I never see any of them on the front page anymore, except for the Clash thread

Brain Toad 06-30-2005 08:16 PM

Clash fanboys don't know when to shut up, that's why it has so many posts.
