Haha, you suck.

Some of my favorite Woodstock performances were Country Joe, Ten Years After, and Canned Heat.

Walrus Gumboot 10-13-2005 08:12 AM

Weren't the who really drunk when they played Woodstock? I think I read that in Searching fo the Sound

I think alot of bands didn't do so well at Woodstock. Bob Wier got electrocuted

Lunch: You could change some of the white parts of you avatar to red so it looks like dripping blood, you know, James Bond style

EDIT: What's this "Bamf" business?

Has Classic Rock even been discussed in this thread for the past ten pages?

Np: Blue Sky - The Allman Brothers Band

Good song.

I tried to make Belushi cooler but just fucked it up because I suck at Paint.

It was supposed to look like blood dripping out of his mouth, but instead it looks like the Rolling Stones tongue, a Hitler mustache, and yellow eyes. Wierd/

They were drunk and all their drinks had been spiked with acid even though they didn't want them to be. They were also awake for over a day straight by the time they went on and they were pissed off.

Edit: Halloween'd

I thought Jimi's performance was awesome. I haven't seen The Who's performance yet, so I'll have to check back on that one.

np: The Doors - The Spy. Creeeeepy song.

temporary 10-13-2005 09:55 AM

Hey, are there any Blue Oyster Cult fans in here? My freind is a huge fan of them, and he leant me Fire of an Unknown Origin a while ago, and I really like it.

I like Don't Fear The Reaper, but have never checked the band out further. I always wonder why. I'm definitely going to go and get some of their stuff.

I can upload Fire of an Unknown Origin if you guys want it.

To me, your avatar looks like Lou Reed instead of Pete Townshend. I have no idea why either

Yeah, I bought it.

Illmatic 10-13-2005 02:35 PM

Anyone heard of Hawkwind? They were the band Lemmy was in before he formed Motorhead...God, do they suck. They're kinda like Deep Purple, but amazingly, they're even worse than Deep Purple. I just can't listen to them...they're completely unbearable.

Broken Arrow 10-13-2005 02:39 PM

I heard of them.

I remeber Woodstock was trying to find some of there material.

Wasnt Lemmy also a roadie for Hendrix?

Glitterati 10-13-2005 02:42 PM

You know who's cool? James Brown.
Wasnt Lemmy also a roadie for Hendrix?
I believe so.

Woodstock 10-13-2005 03:04 PM

I haven't heard enough of Hawkwind to really form an opinion on them. I've actually only heard one song, which I liked. Now I'm trying to find the album that is supposed to be their best,Space Ritual.

Jacaranda 10-13-2005 03:08 PM

So today in English we were listening to some of my teachers old tapes and one of them had this song I totally forgot I loved, I remember hearing it when I was like 5 and I (obviously) had no clue who it was so I forgot about it but I leave my radio on at night to a CR station and I have woke up a few times in the middle of the night and it comes on (I always wake up on songs I really like for some reason) but then forget about it in the morning... so any way can any one tell me what the song is! It goes like:
Sha-la-la-la live for today(?) sorry thats all I remember as I was leaving class it came on and I stopped and listened to the first minute or so then ran off to gym.

/and I ramble on.

It's just a few white dots, it's hard to distinguish anybody.

JonG 10-13-2005 03:27 PM

A teacher at my school has that poster. It's pretty cool.

Lunch 10-13-2005 03:28 PM

I love the logo.

Ahahaha, thats it thanks a bunch.

Lou Reeds so cool back in the day with his big sun glasses and all that fun stuff.

You know what phrase I haven't heard in a while? "You da man."

np: Marvin Gaye - What's Goin' On <<<<<< awesome song.

You dang white people killed it all :p

and yeah, "What's Going On" is a good song, but "Let's Get It On" is better, IMO.

robo2448 10-13-2005 04:52 PM

I'm in a Yes obsession again. Once in a while, I just become obsessed for Yes and listen to them over and over again for like 2 weeks. And then I go a long time without listening to them for a while. I forgot how fucing amazing Yessongs is.

np- Yours Is No Disgrace (live)

Broken Arrow 10-13-2005 04:54 PM

All I have is the Yes album, it's decent but I'm not a huge fan.

Lunch 10-13-2005 04:55 PM

I'm pretty "meh" about Yes.

jpj 10-13-2005 04:55 PM

Fragile and Close to the Edge are better than The Yes Album, IMO.

Jacaranda 10-13-2005 04:56 PM

My favorite Marvin Gaye song is "Mercy, Mercy Me".

I'm goin' through another Maiden stage for you people that like metal too.

np: Stevie Wonder - Superstition

Illmatic 10-13-2005 04:56 PM

Yes never struck me as being much more than "mediocre".

NP: Django Reinhardt - Ou Es-Tu, Mon Amour?

I love Maiden. I have Killers, Number of the the Beast, Powerslave, and Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.
Fragile and Close to the Edge are better than The Yes Album, IMO.
For me, Close to the Edge > The Yes Album > Fragile.

I like all of them but Yessongs blows them away. Awesome performance.

I like Marvin Gaye but I don't own any of his stuff.
