Yep. :thumb:
That avatar is awesome

And both Schyma and me explained why we didn't like Zeppelin on the last page. Stop responding to the ****ing first page as well.
Why do all n00bs flame rap?
All n00bs quote the first page. Before I joined, I read the recent discussions in this thread, saw what happened to n00bs who quoted the first page, and decided to ease my way into the conversation.

PinkFloydFan082692 06-23-2005 11:37 AM

All of you are forgetting about Yes, the GREATEST progressive rock band in HISTORY

Broken Arrow 06-23-2005 11:38 AM

We've talked about Yes at least once in the last 1422 pages.

Pink Floyd > Yes

Explaination not needed.
Pink Floyd > Yes

Yeah, Pink Floyd way over Yes. I wish I could see the Live8 show.

TheDMV 06-23-2005 11:47 AM
Pink Floyd > Yes
Not in terms of progressive rock. Yes may not have invented the genre (King Crimson) but I beleive they most certainley perfected it.
All n00bs quote the first page. Before I joined, I read the recent discussions in this thread, saw what happened to n00bs who quoted the first page, and decided to ease my way into the conversation.
That's what I did as well. I also made sure to back up my opinioins. Don't just write something without saying why you feel that way... *cough*schyma*cough*
Pink Floyd > Yes

EDIT: Wow, explanation definitley needed.

So magicbus sent me Blonde on Blonde what a good album.

I still need Highway 61 and John Wesley Harding. And maybe a bootleg.

The ones that quote the first page never stick around.

What's your favorite song off that?

I like when Dylan's albums end with an epic folk song like Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands or Desolation Row in Highway 61 Revisited. Both of thos albums are upbeat and then when you hear those songs it just leaves you speechless. I'll upload something, maybe Bootleg Series Vol. 5. You know how I feel about that album.

Oh yea, Leopard Skin Pillbox Hat kicks ***.

Woodstock 06-23-2005 11:56 AM

Unfortunately, I started off with Zeppelin. But now I never listen to them. I can't remember the last time I played one of their songs.

I llove Visions of Johanna. But the whoole album is great. I'd say better than Blood on the Tracks.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-23-2005 11:57 AM

I have Bootleg Series 4 & 6 if you upload that one I'll have all the live bootlegs. :)

Thats because you only listen to "rare" music now.

That would most likely contribute; yes.

ATM 06-23-2005 11:59 AM

I actually don't really like Zeppelin that much. I like a few songs, but I RARELY listen to anything them. If a song comes on the radio, I'll listen to it, but I wouldn't put on an album or anything.

TheDMV 06-23-2005 12:06 PM
I myself love classic rock! Everyone in my family does! Unfortunately, some teenagers are geting into the rap crap and new-age stuff . Even bands that have only one good song (such as Twisted Sister) are better than every song for a band that is new-age . Some bands I like are Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Doors, Eagles, some Rolling Stones, The Who, Black Sabbath/ Ozzy, basically anything that is older than I am (13 years). I also like some heavy metal, like Metallica
Worst post ever made? I think so. Twisted Sister isn't classic rock. Everything new isn't bad.

I myself would probably be a little dissapointed if everyone started getting into Classic ROck. It's like my own thing that sets me apart. THere aren't that many people who like my music (in My School), and I personally like it that way.

Yeah, same here. There are a few songs I like, Stairway to Heaven, Black Dog and the Immigrant Song but other than that I don't listen to them.

Woodstock 06-23-2005 12:07 PM
Thats because you only listen to "rare" music now.
What are you talking about? I said I liked looking for rare music. You're taking what I said way out of context.

Walrus Gumboot 06-23-2005 12:08 PM

I would probably be very dissaointed if everyone liked CR too, but I do get a little irritated if I am with a group of people and I am the only CR fan. I always try to make that connection, like "Do you like X?, Oh, ok, you'd like Zeppelin then"

Do not try to make it seem like it is a normal and O.K. thing to do. It is not and you are encouraging it.

I'm trying to say thats its not just Zeppelin is stealing music. From what I can remember Schyma is a blues fan, and do you how many blues artists steal eachother's work.
