So I have returned from assessment testing, it only took me 1hr 45min instead of the alloted 3 hours. The English was easy, Math I had some difficulties on. I get my results in 7-10 days, then I have to go back for Counseling stuff.

I'm going to community college first getting my AA in transfer studies, which prepares me to transfer to a state college, which I'm probably going to major in Music and minor in Psychology, or vice versa.

You'll get used to the noise. The issue of noise will quickly resolve itself

If you are saying that he doesn't need ear plugs then you are mistaken. Many drummers have ended up with a 'ringing' noise constantly hearing it due to not wearing ear plugs while playing.

I have been playing drums for a little over a year and I cope with the noise fine. The sound level sort of dies down after a while so that it doesn't seem as loud to you...just other people

Hmm... i would still be careful. You should get earplugs even if they don't sound loud to you anymore. Better to be safe than sorry

I like the natural feel of the sound, when you use earplugs it tweaks the noise and doesn't sound...pure. Still, better safe then sorry
