Your mom's the greatest thing since the wheel.

RevengeOfTheVillageIdiot 03-16-2005 03:54 PM

well obviously, that should be taken for granted

I love the 'Abortions.
I used to like them a lot actually, when I was first introduced to them. I started listening to them less and less, now I think they sing about the same stuff all the time and are a pretty shallow band imo. Every band has got their critics though, I know they're pretty well liked.

albert_bass 03-16-2005 04:37 PM
And it's no crime to not like the Pistols. Not as many people do as you would think.
I didn't enjoy them very much, but today I've been listening to NMTB on my mp3 and I'm starting to like them, apart from the obvious songs Anarchy in the UK, God save the queen and Pretty vacant which I liked before.

AndreTheHyena 03-16-2005 04:47 PM

Yeah, I really dig Bollocks, I think it's a great album. And the whole mythology of the Pistols and their social impact on Britain, it's all very interesting. I'm a fan of the band, I was just sayin' there's a lot of punx who aren't.

Anti-Prefix 03-16-2005 04:49 PM

I wasn't too obsessed with the Unseen before either. However i have LCC and So This Is freedom? I figured they were going to put on an awesome show, totally different than their albums and they did.
I loved them.

Forest_Fire 03-16-2005 04:50 PM

Every four or five months I'll come across the Bollocks cd and think "They aren't that bad..." and then I'll listen to it for about a week before I get tired of them for a while.

I know, I know. But I took profit that you were talking about them to say that now I'm starting to enjoy them, because I said several times in this forum that I never liked them at all.

AndreTheHyena 03-16-2005 04:52 PM

Ah, right on.

sketchyjoe 03-16-2005 04:57 PM

The Sex Pistols are pretty average. They're not terrible but not brilliant. They're very influential but it annoys me how they're seen as the be all and end all.

And Sid Vicious was a useless junkie.

AndreTheHyena 03-16-2005 05:03 PM

I will agree with you on that one. I hate how Sid is idolized.

Brain Toad 03-16-2005 05:25 PM

I concur.

Nocturne 03-16-2005 05:26 PM

but he's fawking sid vicious!!111!

sketchyjoe 03-16-2005 05:33 PM

Sid Vicious was a disgrace to music and humanity. Hell, he was even a disgrace to junkies. I've met some pretty cool junkies.

Brain Toad 03-16-2005 05:34 PM

Sid Vicious sucked. I never really liked the Pistols either. But I do understand they influenced a lot, and some I wish they hadn't influenced.

Nocturne 03-16-2005 05:57 PM
Sid Vicious was a disgrace to music and humanity. Hell, he was even a disgrace to junkies.
 Yeah, I'm not a fan either.

Forest_Fire 03-16-2005 06:00 PM

LTJ put on a great show right? I might be seeing them in cincinnati next month. It all depends on if my friends mom wants to drive us or not

skankinBassist 03-16-2005 06:05 PM

Less than Jake is awesome live. Seen 'em 5 times and they really never disappoint me.

SactoUnited 03-16-2005 06:46 PM

You disappoint me.

Less than Jake that sounds Pop-punk

thepo 03-16-2005 06:49 PM

Why do Less Than Jake get such a bad reputation? They are f'ucking awesome.

|~Iceb0x~| 03-16-2005 06:51 PM

Because Prepie Skatein Cunts like them

sketchyjoe 03-16-2005 06:52 PM

Less Than Jake are ska-pop-punk. They've got some good songs but the new album is pretty bad.

thepo 03-16-2005 06:54 PM

Awwwww, and we got to rebel against those c'unts because we're punx! OI! OI!

Go download the songs Liquor Store and Son Of D'ick and stop being lame.

|~Iceb0x~| 03-16-2005 06:55 PM

No!

I have Borders & Boundaries, Losing streak, Hello Rockview, The Pez Collection, Goodbye Blue & White and Anthem. They're not bad. Some great songs, some crap songs, a lot of average songs.

And Anthem sucked.

Stop being a little prick.

thepo 03-16-2005 07:04 PM

I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to ice box.

And if you knew that, reading it over he just answered my question by saying it was because preppie cun'ts liked them, not saying that he didn't like them because preppie cunts liked them. So yeah sorry about that.

And yes Anthem sucked pretty bad.

Aus Rotten 03-16-2005 07:26 PM

I only have Losing Streak and Hello Rockview, but I pretty much agree with skethyjoe... they have a couple of really good songs that I like such as "Johnny Quest Thinks We're Sellouts," and they have a couple of really s'hitty songs, but, most of their stuff is just good.

Biscuit_box 03-16-2005 07:27 PM

I have Borders & Boundaries. I think its really good

sketchyjoe 03-16-2005 07:29 PM

I probably like B&B the best too. HR and LS had some better songs but they were just too patchy.
