That's it, everyone with a copied avatar is getting neg'd.

Edit: Krabsman, it's really supposed to be more of a stealing than a switching.

Krabsworth 10-11-2005 09:08 PM

Anyone want to switch avatars with me?

magicbus 10-11-2005 09:12 PM

And don't worry Lunch, it's for halloween, not just to confuse you.

I'm wondering what I should do for Halloween. I'm nearly sixteen, I'm running out of costume ideas.

Against Miik! 10-11-2005 09:20 PM

So anyways I recommend everybody goes to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. I'm spoiled because I live 10 minutes away, but Cleveland really needs some lovin and its a good time. Theres a cool lake right next to it called Lake Erie, and you can go wakeboarding.

Lunch 10-11-2005 09:22 PM

I went earlier, it was alright. I don't feel like desrcibing it again though, but the Tommy part was great.

I'd like to go there sometime.

Apparently Robbie Robertson was at the Experience Music Project in Seattle last week! That's like three hours away from me

BigTrav415 10-11-2005 09:44 PM

Wow... just listened to Wot's... Uh The Deal for the first time, I have to buy Obscured By Clouds... God, Gilmour's voice rocks. I wish he had sung on more stuff.

magicbus 10-11-2005 09:50 PM

He's sings on a lot of their songs. That's the magic of Gilmour!

Illmatic 10-11-2005 09:53 PM

I think that says more about how Gilmour and Waters really don't sound all that different at all

BludgeonySteve 10-11-2005 10:17 PM

PinkFreud 10-11-2005 10:22 PM

Illmatic 10-11-2005 10:23 PM

Well, he certainly is "bad"...

BludgeonySteve 10-11-2005 10:23 PM

And he drinks Alone. With nobody else. And when he drinks alone, he prefers to be by himself.

You guys suck.

BigTrav415 10-11-2005 10:25 PM

Nick mason is P.I.M.P. to the bone, but no one wants him. And I guess I was saying Gilmour doesn't sing on enough songs. As in he should have sung on most of them. But whatever. I just burnt a 5-song warm-up mix for our soccer game tomorrow, some Zeppelin and a Tom Petty song ;) I'm slowly converting my team into classic rock heads :D

thickasabrick 10-11-2005 10:45 PM
Such an awesome song. I love The Clash.
I've got a punk friend who always asks if I can put on his CD's while we are in my car (apparently he doesn't like Dylan and the Dead as much as all my other friends do), and the only CD's he has that I can stand listening to are by The Clash and Frank Zappa....thank god he likes The Clash and Zappa.

Orbison was definitely the highlight of The Travelling Wilburies for me. I like Dylan a lot more as a musician/songwriter etc, but no one can sing like Orbison can.

A friend of mine told me to buy London Calling because it was such a great album. I bought it with high expectations, but was very disappointed. I really don't like that guy's voice at all.

Illmatic 10-12-2005 12:40 AM
but no one can sing like Orbison can.
Sam Cooke (best. singer. ever.), Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Freddie Mercury, Luther Vandross, Marvin Gaye...

True enough. Maybe I just don't understand punk..

Illmatic 10-12-2005 12:50 AM

Oh, don't get me wrong, I don't like punk at all. But The Clash up until about 1980 was a very good band.

i am in the middle about the clash. some of their stuff i like, but others i just hate. i prefer proto-punk to punk anyway.

Walrus Gumboot 10-12-2005 06:57 AM

thickasabrick didn't say that Roy Orbison was the best singer ever, he said that no one could sing like him, which is a perfectly defendable statement. I have never heard anyone that sounded like Roy Orbison

London Calling is great. I love Clampdown.

I'm thinking I might give my old Neil Young avatar an eye patch.

London Calling may well be my favourite album of all time. Clampdown and the title track are my faves.

And seeing as you've given Dylan one, I reckon you should give Young an eyepatch.

Walrus Gumboot 10-12-2005 12:29 PM

I think I joined just in time to see these last year, Oct. 30
Waters's voice may always have been technically inferior to Gilmour's, but I really like how nasty it is...especially on Animals. No-one sounds as miserable in such an English way as Waters does.
I agree, I really love the way Rogers voice sounds. Its so depressing and bleak, too. Nobody Home is probably the perfect example of this.
