Agalloch already released a perfect album so it's pretty much impossible to top that and my expectations with them are always high so I was a bit let down.

Hm, yeah, idk, it's very different from their older albums. I guess maybe you shouldn't compare it to those albums, or even take into account that it's Agalloch at all when listening to it.

So the one riff in the beginning of Ash Borer's song on the split with Fell Voices sounds really familiar. I think it might be from a middle era Blut Aus Nord song.

I'm loving the new Woe also, not sure if it will beat out Krieg or Necrite yet though. I love the drone aspects in Necrite and the vocals too. He does these really freaky ambient shrieks and moans, sounds like somebody on a torture rack. There are some Atilla-like monk chants also and some pretty nice growling. Def one of my favorite new vocalists.
