Haha wow. So I got a Linksys router the other day, since it's more convinient and actually cheaper than my AirPort (I still have that hooked up downstairs if I need it). Either way, it was giving my Mactop [size=2]sh[/size]it all yesterday (Disconnecting randomly, asking for WEP, generally not working), and after hours of searching, I found little about how to make it work on Macs.

So I found this site which has firmware for it, which apparently makes it better, and I downloaded it and started flashing it. I was told in the README that if it messes up it will be bricked (Useless, in other words). I thought I might as well, still got the AirPort if it doesn't work, and wouldn't you know it, it crashed during the firmware upload.

Only all today my router has not only been working non-stop, it's been working properly. Yesterday I tried downloading a demo on XBL, and it barely made it to 2%. Today it finished completely (It was a 1GB file too).

So yeah, I ended up fixing my router by breaking it because it needed fixing beforehand.
