GNR rock.

Haha. Why didn't he just be Slash? It'd take less than 3 hours.
Yeah, all you need is a top hat and a bottle of Jack Daniels. ;)

Leper 10-11-2005 01:59 PM

Sweet im looking forward to hearing that Lunch.

Lunch 10-11-2005 02:02 PM

I just had their S/t and Ssssh uploaded, and put in my message ready to send out (I was waiting for the Spirit album to finish) and then my yahoo account just signed me off, so now I have to upload them again.

WelcomeToTheMachine 10-11-2005 02:11 PM

Woodstock 10-11-2005 02:12 PM

I like finding 4 ELP albums and a Traffic classic in my inbox, and then hearing I'm getting some Ten Years After. :)

Thanks guys.

I need to get those Ten Years After albums now :)

Lunch 10-11-2005 02:17 PM

Probably because I didn't send it out yet.

JonG 10-11-2005 02:18 PM
Probably because I didn't send it out yet.
Yeah, I read Woodstocks post wrong.

I have Bridge of Sighs and that's about it.

magicbus 10-11-2005 02:19 PM

I like Robin Trower.

Woodstock 10-11-2005 02:28 PM
I like Robin Trower.
Bridge of Sighs kind of bored me.

magicbus 10-11-2005 02:31 PM

I like the riffs he played on the slower songs, but some of the other one's do sound pretty similar. I still like it though.

So have any of you guys heard of Arzachel or Art?

Leper 10-11-2005 02:33 PM

Haven't heard of either

Lunch 10-11-2005 02:34 PM

I think I just sent out Ten Years After's s/t and Ssssh, check to see if you got them.

Broken Arrow 10-11-2005 02:37 PM

Remember the time RNR had his Jeff Healy avatar and a few of us copied it and copied his usetitle? That was confusing.

robo2448 10-11-2005 02:38 PM
I think I just sent out Ten Years After's s/t and Ssssh, check to see if you got them.
I got them. Thanks a lot. I've never seen any Ten Years After in stores, so I'm glad you uploaded them.

JonG 10-11-2005 02:39 PM

Thanks for the TYA. Can't wait to listen to it :)

Krabsworth 10-11-2005 02:40 PM

Man, I wish people played keyboard at my school :-/. I have this musical vision, it's really great. Instead of how Bach, Beethoven, etc. had fugues, and whatnot, I would make a psychedellic/rock 'n' roll peice, called a "trip".

"Trip in D Minor"

Heh, that sounds so awesome.

Lunch 10-11-2005 02:43 PM

I have two more TYA albums I'll probably upload, they are all pretty sweet. Ssssh is great though.

I'm diggin' "I Woke Up This Morning". Fantastic guitar work.

Lunch 10-11-2005 02:48 PM

Did the tracks send out of order? That's supposed to be the last song on Ssssh.

sandman420 10-11-2005 02:49 PM

TYA is great, thanks lunch.

Trip In D Minor. INTENSE.

Yeah, I switch around :)

Lunch 10-11-2005 03:40 PM

Yea, that would explain it then. Anyone who didn't get it (and wants it) let me know.

JonG 10-11-2005 03:47 PM

Ugh, too many people do "Good Morning Little School Girl". I hate it :\

Heh, that sounds so awesome.
I've got a kid who plays the keyboard really good and loves really trippy music. When ever we go to his house he plays "SOYCD" on keyboards and then switches to the piano and plays Bach and Beethoven songs then "Us and Them" it's really cool. Plays drums, guitar and violin too it's too bad he hasn't joined a band yet. Maybe I should fire one up and let him be keyboardist. There's just no **** drummers around here though......
So I just gave Freak Out! another listen, and I really don't like it. It doesn't really capture my attention and the lyrics are sorta stupid (I know they are supposed to) I think I'm going to stick to intrumentals when it comes to Frank Zappa.
I think you're crazy. His lyrics have a great place in his music. I mean could you imagine normal lyrics that goes along with that kind of music? I think Freak Out! along with WOIIFTM are 2 of the greatest Psychedelic albums ever released. I just can't get enough of them. I didn't think too much of Over-nite Sensation though......

PinkFreud: You have a bootleg DVD and 9 bootlegs of Jeff Beck!?!?

Yea, but their version is good. I don't care much for the lyrics, but the instrumentals are great.

robo2448 10-11-2005 03:57 PM

I just read through 5 pages of spam. Fun. Psychadelic Belushi was awesome. I might continue the trend of changing avatars and make that mine if magicbus doesn't mind.

I also just d/l the ELP, I'm looking forward to hearing it. Are the other 3 as good as Brain Salad Surgery?

TYA is great. Alvin Lee is a great guitarist.

Tarkus is, I think, I haven't heard the other two yet though.

Trilogy has one of my favorite songs "From The Beginning", and the s/t is pretty good too.

I'm currently diggin' Robert Randolph and the Family Band - Unclassified.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-11-2005 04:06 PM

I can't stand ELP........Prog period is a bit unlistinable with very few exceptions.

Great album. I wish I could see him live like Schyma did. I saw him with OAR once, but he was a guest performer and only did like 2 songs. It's be cool to see him and the family band do their own set.
