On a lighter note, anyone ever heard of FM Static?
They suck, but the other band that the lead singer sings for is ok. Thousand foot krutch.

I have been reading a lot of CS Lewis' stuff lately, great author.

Is is possible to not start of with the Ginsberg?

BenJammin 10-09-2006 08:35 PM

Screw beat poets, Jesse. We need to talk Barth and post-modernist literature.

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 08:35 PM

I'm really feeling Dean Koontz right now.

I also am liking Frank Peretti and Stephen Coonts.

I like beat poets! Kerouac is buried less than 3 miles from my house. I visited over the summer!

bottlerocket 10-09-2006 08:36 PM
which one you feelin
CIRCLE CIRCLE
TRIANGLE TRIANGLE
*drool*

Yeah, he passed out drunk where that little drool stain is...ignore it.

Kerouac = awesome story writer = awful awful awful poet

Jody LeCompte 10-09-2006 08:39 PM

When I had to do that research paper on Ralph Waldo Emerson I got really into his transcentialism proses.
opinions on Chuck Palahniuk?
I read his novel Diary, and I didn't think it was too bad. It was the first book that I actually finished in ages.

My friend said it wasn't his greatest work since my friend is in love with the guy, but whatever.

I didn't mind the book. It was decent.

I haven't really done any research or taken time to figure out his ideas, I just like the writing style.

bottlerocket 10-09-2006 08:41 PM

Palanhnik is alright...totally overrated, though.

Guts is nothing but a gross out story but still good.
