Kamelot rule!

Riva 03-07-2006 11:39 PM
What do you guys think of Kamelot?
Wasn't too fond of them until I heard The Black Halo.
In other news, Gamma Ray-Somewhere out in space arrived in't post!
Good stuff so far.
Awesome. I love it when stuff from Amazon and the like arrives. :D
That's an excellent album, also.
Me too. That and a leather vest like what Dave Murray wears.
You have S&M tendencies hey? :p

Symphony & Metallica?

A couple of friends of mine dressed up like Manowar last week. Lets just say that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

JausmetalJ 03-08-2006 04:10 AM

Did they rub oil all over their ripped chests?

Thats pretty awesome though, I'd love to dress up like a mighty warrior.

Iron Bars 03-08-2006 04:12 AM

I'm really glad they didn't, the lether underpantsythings already made it look very disturbing.

JausmetalJ 03-08-2006 04:14 AM

nice. What did they do it for?

Iron Bars 03-08-2006 04:19 AM

I'm from the south of the Netherlands and because this is mostly a Catholic region we have this celabration just before the 40 day fast. It originaly was 4 day when every one went out drinking and partying, but everyone also dresses up these days. So thats why they dressed up like Manowar (luckily only for one day).

JausmetalJ 03-08-2006 04:26 AM

Sweet, sounds awesome.

Get them to dress up as Gwar, that'd be a challenge.

Lord Abortion 03-08-2006 11:54 AM

Heh.
I had musical arrivals that Riva will love me for again today

Running wild-Port Royal \m/

Shattered_Future 03-08-2006 01:48 PM

I gotta get my friend to send me Under Jolly Roger...we downloaded it at his house a few days ago.

Stupid non-decent distribution CD stores...

Shred Danson 03-08-2006 01:54 PM

Nice!

Apocalyptic Raids 03-08-2006 06:33 PM

Running Wild \m/

I haven't listened to them in ages, actually.

Shattered_Future 03-08-2006 07:03 PM

Ok, Under Jolly Roger is officially one of THE funniest cds I've ever listened to. Yet it kicks ***.

Stormrider 03-08-2006 07:07 PM

Jolly Roger haha ! reminds me of Mario 64. :p

NP Symphony X - Inferno (unlesh the fire)

Not my fault the most metal people in history wear all leather.

Lord Abortion 03-08-2006 07:39 PM

Rob Halford FTW.

See, Deth, you need to go back to the Halford Avatar and the "Halford>>>Other queers" usertitle

Deth 03-08-2006 08:13 PM

I know. I get bored of it though.

I need to find an incredibly gay picture of him first though.

Lord Abortion 03-09-2006 03:49 PM

See,there it is!

NW-Imaginations through the looking glass

Stormrider 03-09-2006 03:51 PM

AH lucky you !!!

I want it badly :(

How you liking it so far ?

Lord Abortion 03-09-2006 04:13 PM

I don't like it as much as the album.
They miss out, Majesty, into the storm and welcome to dying and replace them with the last candle and and the story ends and that.
It's alright, the alternates are on't second disk.
It's great other than the slightly worse set.

Deth 03-09-2006 07:39 PM

How amazing is And Then There Was Silence?

Shattered_Future 03-09-2006 07:41 PM

Yea, that's what I want the DVD for most...

Imaginations From The Other Side (song) = one of the best I've heard.

Stormrider 03-09-2006 07:53 PM

I'm looking foward to And Then There Was Silence when I'm going to get the DVD.

I listened to Soulforged today. Hadn't in a long time and I remembered how an awsome song it was.

Lord Abortion 03-10-2006 03:59 PM

ATTWS was pretty good.
It's not a song I listen to alot though, so appreciate it less.
I was more concerned with the SFB, IFTOS and NIME songs.

Captain Quentin 03-12-2006 11:23 PM

i bought Imaginations throught the looking glass dvd last night on ebay, i can't wait

JausmetalJ 03-13-2006 02:29 AM

I bought Sonata Arctica - Silence and Dungeon - A Rise to Power the other night. (I've had ARTP for a while (real copy) but I caught it at a gig, so it didn't have any artwork, so Now ima put both cds in a 2-disc thing.

Im also FINALLY getting Helloween - Kot7KP II.

Lord Abortion 03-13-2006 10:25 AM

Ah, I'll get a real Helloween album soon.

I'm bereft of cash at present, however.

Stoic 03-13-2006 11:23 AM

You buy lots of albums Ollie. It's been a while since I last bought one, I've being extremely selective lately.

Stormrider 03-13-2006 02:08 PM

I sqw a bunch of Edguy albums the other day but couldn't get any. Was short on money.

Lord Abortion 03-13-2006 02:15 PM
You buy lots of albums Ollie. It's been a while since I last bought one, I've being extremely selective lately.
That I do, I spend my money on little else.

Stormrider 03-13-2006 02:16 PM

Same here.

My next power metal album is either Hellfire Club or ANATO. Or both.

Riva 03-13-2006 05:59 PM

I've cut down on my album spending. I'm saving about 200 a month now.

I'm very selective with my purchases now, and I mostly just save up for a big internet order, rather than blind buying in CD stores. Which is sad because I love browsing those places.

Stormrider 03-13-2006 06:03 PM

I too like to walk around in a cd store.

But saving up for a big internet order is good idea. I should do that...Cd's are'nt ex[ensive and all, but wherever I could order from, I probably get charged more for customs...

Riva 03-13-2006 06:08 PM

Well, I have to order from Amazon in the US, so I don't get free shipping. :(

Stormrider 03-13-2006 06:11 PM

I don't get free shipping either. I havn't checked on a whole lot o places. I would probably order from Century Media online store...unless I drop in an something else thats better.

I'de have about 20 $ of shipping. Not including the customs.

Hmm, I'm gunna check amazon right now.

EDIT: Hmm, i might get free shipping after all. Not expensive too. I jsut found my new ordering site :)

EDIT2 : Ah damn, I was looking at the wrong proices for the cd's. 26.99 is more then what I could get it in a store...:upset:

Captain Quentin 03-13-2006 07:24 PM

you can get quite cheap albums of ebay....................if your lucky that is :p

Shattered_Future 03-13-2006 07:33 PM

I want to order some stuff off of Amazon, but everything I want is an import, and as a result costs a ridiculous amount.

The only semidecent cd store around here is Tower, and while not a total ripoff, their prices are a bit high. Their selection is only semidecent as well...

Stormrider 03-13-2006 08:14 PM

Amazon is pretty cheap on shipping, but the cd's are expensive. I mean ANATO is like 26.99. I could get it for 24.99 in a store.

And then theres the sites where a cd is 12 USD, but has a 10 dollar charge for orders and more money on the items.

I still do now know where to order from :(

Deth 03-13-2006 08:18 PM

I rarely order from Amazon. I prefer to buy from stores because I like to walk in having no idea what I want.

Stormrider 03-13-2006 08:20 PM

I too like to buy from a store. Most of the time I walk in knowing with what I walk out. Except for a few times.

I want to order for the sake of ordering an album at the price of about 15 instead of buying it in a store at the price of around 30.
