Yea, the needle scene is intense (I assume you saw it that part), but not quite as intense as something that happens later in the movie.

John Travolta has to stab Uma Thurman in the heart with an adrenaline shot, which might not be that gruesome but I don't like needles so it gets to me. Also, the rape scene is downright disturbing.
