Ok.

Today is the day we vote. The main parties are Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrats. The lib dems don't have a chance but are just trying to win seats. Labour, who are in power are going to win again.
You vote twice, once for the council vote, which runs stuff locally, related to where you live and you also vote for your local candidate who has a seat at the houses of parliment (the main election).
