Im really likin Here Comes The Sun right now. Beautful Accoustic opening and throughout the whole song. Another brilliant Harrison piece.
|
I'd say my favorite Harrison songs are While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Here Comes the Sun, in that order. Here Comes the Sun always feels way too short though. And Clapton was not in Plastic Ono Band, but was in Dirty Mac. The Dirty Mac's only recorded performance is on the Rolling Stones Rock N' Roll Circus CD or DVD. It has Lennon, Clapton, Keith Richards on bass, and I think Jim Gordon on drums, but not sure. It also unfortunately has Yoko's wailing and screaming.

Yoko was like a less talented Bjork prototype /respects Bjork greatly I could never pick my favorite Harrisong, but out of Ringo's I would say my favorite is Octopus's Garden |

No Ringo wrote it. She was talking about her favorite Ringo song. |

I'm dying to see that. It would be hard to top The Who's performance at the circus though. |
I wonda if Jerry Lennon was still alive dat the beats wud still be goin? what u guys thank?

dont you mean John Lennon? |
I think that if John was still alive, that at some point in the 1980's maybe even early 1990's the beatles would have had a reunion.
|
Most probably, it usually eventually happens with most bands either because they want the thrill of doing it all again or because they need the money.
|
The whos performance was brilliant, although it was very cool to see such an array of fantastic artists.. rock gods in there own right, playing it the same band.

No doubt for something like Live 8 or some other charity concert, |
No he wasn't...?
Are you thinking of the Dirty Mac?
well not exactly in the band but played more than a few songs with them |
They might do it for Live 8. However, they wouldn't do a reunion tour. You all seem to be forgetting that for the last four years of their career, they didn't tour.
|
yeah they had some real leadership issues after epstien died :upset:
|
well not exactly in the band but played more than a few songs with them
No, I'm pretty sure he never played with them in studio. Live he did, but there he isn't credited on the studio albums. Harrison is credited with playing on a few songs though. |
I don't think he's a bad drummer either, though. Ringo is an awesome drummer, a lot of those songs were really hard to keep the rhthym to, like "Good Morning".
I really love his weird drum pattern in Tomorrow Never Knows as well. |
You know what I found out today, remember that show Thomas the Train or somthing like that, Ringo was the narrator, I watched that all my childhood and never knew that was him till now.
|
im not much of a beatles fan infact i dont even listen to them but i read in the news not too long ago about paul being a animal lover, killing sheep. what do yall think about that? lol. i know pauls on that animal rights organization but he was caught slaughtering lambs or sheep. that has some irony huh?

It was in a great magazine special on the Beatles solo careers. I forget whitch magazine it was, but you should be able to pick it up at Barns and Nobel or Borders. |

I used to watch that show all the time, and my mom always used to go on about the conductor on the show. I think she annoyed me, and I remebered that, and then she mentioned it again and I realized it was Ringo  They almost got back together in the 70's when Lorne Michaels offered them 3000$ to play 3 songs. This was just a joke on a sketch, because people were offering the beatles thousands to get back together. As it so happens Paul was visiting john and Yoko in NY at the time, and they almost decided to do it, but later decided against it |
Theres a sad movie about that, well its about paul and john after the beatles split and at the end, John and Paul are packing their guitars into a car, paul gets in and john goes to say goodbye to Yoko, and John comes back to the car and says "Sorry paul [insert something about yoko not wanting John to go course they had planed something before]"
Entierly fictional of course, but sad that they got so close to doing it. The magazine about the Beatles solo career was a NME special magazine dedicated to just that, and i bought it while i was in london for 6 pounds. |

no... i only heard about it on the last day i had in london, it was just a re release of the magazine in a normal newsagent..
I did go to the Abbey Road cafe shop thing, bought a nice revolver mug and a abbey road shirt. |
