I never said I liked it. It's what I have been seeing lately. The stoner/doom thread has been pretty dead, but not the metalcore and deathcore threads

thats because mappy posts constantly in them with 2 other users. its like 3-5 people talking about them all the time

Stoner/doom is a pretty lackluster genre most of the time anyway, I won't even start on metalcore/deathcore.

Funeral Doom is my favorite of the dooms.

No, that split was total gayness and not even close to funeral doom, Sunn O))) turned crap the day after I saw them live, its about time it all died down, the early **** was great but they turned into a parody.

I liked Altars though, it was somewhat of a gateway for me into the different dooms where I had been a total death/black metalhead before. I don't know very much about sunn o)))'s early stuff compared to the later so I can't really give any good input here.

Could you recommend me some funeral doom albums other then ahab? I'm not well versed in the genre yet.

Powerslave has 5 good songs and 3 mediocre ones (the middle 3)
SSOASS is actually my 3rd favorite iron maiden album...but i just made a generalization for the sake of lazinesss

Funeral Doom sucks pretty much, SKEPTICISM - STORMCROWFLEET is the only real funeral doom album.
