My favourite car show comes up in September. It's called Billetproof and has cars that were built from scratch by guys who keep true to 50s hot rodding, so most have complete custom parts, some are matte (non shiny) finishes and look like true rods. Billet means alumunium parts, so hence the name. They also have a rule against trailer queens, who are the fags who bring their classic cars on trailers instead of driving them. It also brings out the psychobillies, rockabillies, and some skins, intresting people. And really good local bands play. We make good money too.

SactoUnited 06-26-2005 06:52 PM

Is it in Vallejo?

guns_of_brixton 06-26-2005 06:53 PM

I like car shows.

Brain Toad 06-26-2005 06:54 PM
Is it in Vallejo?
It's in Antioch, at the Contra Costa Fairgrounds, but its sponsered by a car club in Vallejo.

SactoUnited 06-26-2005 06:54 PM

Tempting, What day is it on?

Brain Toad 06-26-2005 06:56 PM

September 17th, a Saturday.

Biscuit_box 06-26-2005 06:57 PM

Sounds brillaint Nick. Pity the most 'pimped-out' vehicle here is a tractor with like 35" rims. Plus the only classical cars here are like from '89. Most of the guys here who 'do-up' their cars make them look like cráp. They stick on the most random body kits and spoilers.

guns_of_brixton 06-26-2005 07:40 PM

Somebody give me something fun/challenging/hard to learn to play on geetar. Dead Kennedys possibly.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 06-26-2005 07:42 PM

Learn DK- A Growing Boy Needs his Lunch

guns_of_brixton 06-26-2005 07:45 PM

I don't like that song all that much. In fact its the only one I skip when I listen through Frankenchrist.

Well that sure does suck.

DK - Moon over Marin has some good guitar

By the way sean, are there any good shows in mid-late july in chicago?

Brain Toad 06-26-2005 07:50 PM

Moon Over Marin is fun, but kind of easy. I like Terminal Preppie. Trying to get the right speed on Religious Vomit is kind of challenging, but fun.

I always skip "At my Job" I hate that song.

sketchyjoe 06-26-2005 07:53 PM

I skip Hellnation on Frankenchrist. Moon over Marin is hella fun to play and sing on bass.

Brain Toad 06-26-2005 07:54 PM

I never skip any DK songs.

Forest_Fire 06-26-2005 07:56 PM

I skip over Advice from christamas past, but thats probably the only one

sketchyjoe 06-26-2005 07:56 PM

When I listening to DK I always think "What would this sound like mixed with RATM?"

Finally I have the answer.

Klaus wrote that, how could you skip that? :upset:

sketchyjoe 06-26-2005 08:38 PM
Klaus wrote that, how could you skip that? :upset:
Actually Ray wrote it.

Anxious 06-26-2005 08:39 PM
Actually Ray wrote it.
well i knew one of those guys wrote it, not jello. I was close enough.

sketchyjoe 06-26-2005 08:40 PM

To my knowledge only Dog Bite is credited to Klaus and I've read interviews that suggest he didn't write that.

Anxious 06-26-2005 08:42 PM
To my knowledge only Dog Bite is credited to Klaus and I've read interviews that suggest he didn't write that.
Why would they put it on the album as him writing it then?

sketchyjoe 06-26-2005 08:45 PM

I dunno. I've just read an interview with Ray and Jello in which Ray says he wrote it.

Let's Chop Cats! 06-26-2005 08:46 PM

Didn't they screw with writing credits on the non-AT albums?

sketchyjoe 06-26-2005 08:47 PM

Originally I think Jello was credited as writing all the songs which are now credited as Lyrics by Jello, Music by DK.

Anxious 06-26-2005 08:50 PM

On Bedtime for Democracy, it says that. Except two, one it said klaus wrote, and one ray. I'll have to break out the ol vinyl to check.

TAND 06-26-2005 09:02 PM

AIRIC 06-26-2005 10:20 PM

What did Prefix do?

RetiredAt21 06-26-2005 10:51 PM

He apologized...for...uh, something.

Brain Toad 06-26-2005 11:06 PM

I just finished re-ripping my DK CDs, since my previous rips were horrible, and re-ripping my Choking Victim because they disappeared.
