I got my bachelors degree in American Studies, and I'm getting my masters in the same. I want to get my Ph.D. and teach at the university level.

Joe, is that literature or cultural studies? I just started american lit. in the german equivalent of a masters program(it lasts for 5 years. I'm in my 1st).

Hi, btw.

American Studies initially began as a sort oy entwinement of history and literature. But now it's more or less expanded to include everything from literature to popular music, to movies, to clothing... everything. I think that is why I love it so much. I have a lot of freedom in what I can study, and I can experiment quite a bit. Its very interdisciplinary, which is really cool.

I was this close to getting a G&L 2500 but now I haven't heard from the seller for a month(he claimed to be on a business trip 4 weeks ago. still he said it would be 2 weeks and he would contact me afterwards).
