Lmao.

Liking Emmure's new stuff is like liking Waking the Cadaver or Annotations of an Autopsy. Its just morally wrong.

witchxrapist 01-21-2010 11:25 AM

Waking The Cadaver is 5/5 tbh.

AOAA is like 4.5/5.

rasputin 01-21-2010 11:27 AM

newbie, meet mappy

landonius 01-21-2010 11:27 AM

Eeeeeeeeeeew. Waking the Cadaver is just a failed attempt at brutal death metal. AOAA is them failing at mixing brutal death with deathcore.

but, I do love old Emmure, not gonna lie... Their first and second albums were good.

witchxrapist 01-21-2010 11:33 AM

Waking The Cadaver and AOAA are technically slamming guttural brutal death metal.

But you wouldn't know shit about that, unbrutal herb.

landonius 01-21-2010 11:34 AM

hey dickweed, go listen to Abysmal Torment, Devourment, and Severe Torture.

I know brutal stuff. I just prefer well executed brutal music.

Xplisit 01-21-2010 11:35 AM

lovin the song depths of depravity

witchxrapist 01-21-2010 11:36 AM

That's also slamming guttural brutal death metal.

Devourment used to have some ****ing depraved pit riffment, but then they sold out and started sounding like Blowjob For A Cute Boy.

Abysmal Torment and Severe Torture are just poseurs.

landonius 01-21-2010 11:38 AM

It is slamming guttural brutal death metal. but, its well executed slamming guttural brutal death metal.

You cannot honestly say that Abysmal Torment are poseurs. They are one of the most original bands in the genre. I don't mind the new devourment, I wish they would have stuck with the old style though...

Self disembowelment is just beautiful.

SlightlyEpic 01-21-2010 11:39 AM

did you just describe a slamming guttural brutal death metal \m/ song as beautiful

landonius 01-21-2010 11:40 AM

it was a joke lol. it just is awesome.

witchxrapist 01-21-2010 11:41 AM

You have no clue about depraved pit-riffment, and it's painfull obvious.

SlightlyEpic 01-21-2010 11:42 AM

it's okay I actually don't have any idea what I'm talking about either I just wandered into this thread by mistake

Stevie 01-21-2010 11:43 AM
I think Meshuggah are particularly great due to that they have a defined sound that no one else has, the riffs are just ****ing epic if you know any music theory, and the lyrics are intelligent. Which is more than we can say for 90% of the bands in the genre.

Just go listen to I. That's probably my favorite metal song of the decade.
all that says is that they want to show off they can pull off a 23/4 time signature. listening to meshuggah is like reading a **** story with big words

witchxrapist 01-21-2010 11:43 AM

I'm fine with new posters, but that kid was getting stupid lol.

EdgeOfSanity 01-21-2010 06:13 PM

Death metal sucks.

witchxrapist 01-21-2010 06:17 PM

Oh hell to the nizzy.

EdgeOfSanity 01-21-2010 06:20 PM

Idk...but this Graveyard CD is pretty good.

landonius 01-22-2010 11:14 AM
all that says is that they want to show off they can pull off a 23/4 time signature. listening to meshuggah is like reading a **** story with big words
Eh not really. the one thing I didn't mention is that they have a really good groove to a lot of their riffs, particularly on Nothing. I like to listen to the music to figure out what exactly is going on at a given moment. Granted, most of Meshuggah's music isn't something you can casually throw on and enjoy, but I like to think with my music, so I enjoy them.
