It's not that difficult to hear, and Hetfield sings at around the same pitch on the earlier albums.

I think he's referring to mustaine's strange pronunciation of some words while singing rather than the equalization or mustaine's pitch

does Mustain put that voice on? i think he does

It's just his singing voice.
Thrash Of The Titans was a benefit show for Testament's Chuck Billy. Testament played (feat. guest appearences from Alex Skolnick and Steve Souza), Exodus played (with Paul Baloff) and Vio-lence, Death Angel and Forbidden re-united for it.
Flotsam and Jetsam, Sadus, Heathen, and Legacy also played on TotT. They would've been some great shows.

What's your point?

rip-metal_rules 01-19-2006 02:32 PM

ok, what kind of picks did james use in the early days? cause i know now he uses the .88 tortexs, is that what he used all along?

oh, and i had a really cool idea. metallica and megadeth could tour tour and play together and dave and play each other's stuff and dave and kirk could do the dueling solos on "hangar 18" just think about that. it would rule.

PepsiMetal 01-19-2006 02:36 PM

I'd like to see metallica do symphony of destruction, and megadeth do fade to black. That would be suhweet.

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 02:41 PM

Guys they DID do a tour together back in '93(i think)

BLS_Infernus 01-19-2006 03:02 PM

I think it was 94 but 93 may be right...if I was only not 12 and more into metal at that age I so would have gone

Aussie_rocker 01-19-2006 03:07 PM

Which metallica book would you recomend for me??? i can play most of fade to black solo's and all. i was thinking Ride The Lightning or Greatest Hits...
Help me metallica Fans!

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 03:08 PM

RtL is my favorite book

That would be awsome!

I want to see them cover a whole album

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 03:14 PM

Metallica does Rust in Peace and Megadeth does Master of Puppets?

Jev 01-19-2006 03:21 PM

Could Metallica pull off RIP though?

I doubt it would ever happen though.

BLS_Infernus 01-19-2006 03:28 PM

they did it when Megadeth and Metallica toured together. I think 'deth did Seek and Destory though...hell they probabley did more then what we know

Any ideas what Metallica did? I'd really like to know.

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 03:41 PM

Look it up i guess.

BLS_Infernus 01-19-2006 03:41 PM

In My Darkest Hour, Holy Wars (yes Kirk can play that), Symphony of Destruction and Hangar 18 is what I know they did

Aw3someman 01-19-2006 03:42 PM

Holy wars isn't particularly hard. It's just a bitch to nail if your trying to do it perfectly.

:amaze:
No...way.

I really can't see that happening. I'm not saying Megadeth are better than Metallica but I really can't see them playing those. Especially the solos on IMDH, I didn't know Kirk could play that fast.

BLS_Infernus 01-19-2006 03:46 PM

Kirk is a lot better of a guitarist then albums make him out to be.

no Holy Wars isn't hard nor is IMDH but people don't play Kirk to much without knowing his real talent. Kirk said in GW that he plans on making a solo album after Metallica

After Metallica? I hope they're not planning on breaking up any time soon. It'd be interesting to hear.
