Happy birthday P-Dizzle.
/puts on Back in the US
Is that a good CD? I think I'm going to get it, because I really liked McCartney's short superbowl perfomance so I'm looking to a good live CD by him. |
Kiss?
alot of you guys mentioned some great bands, but ive havent seen any one writing about KISS. Im a huge kiss fan, I grew up listening to them they have way better songs than what you hear on the radio and stuff. Check out some of ther earler albums, preferably Hotter Than Hell, its a great rock album.
|
I love Kiss, 70s hard rock is awsome. Hotter than hell is a hell of an album, so is Alive, s/t is also good.
|
A lot of people dislike Kiss. I for one, do not.
So, I heard Ringo's new album is pretty good. |
I read a review for it, according to it its good. It's got Robert Randolph colaborating on it.
|
I hate KISS.
I really want to hear that MC5 album Kick Out the Jams. What exactly does it sound like? |
I hate KISS.
I really want to hear that MC5 album Kick Out the Jams. What exactly does it sound like?
Well, there's Hard Rock/Punkish stuff, there's Prog stuff, Blues stuff, and other stuff on it. ;) |
I hate KISS.
I really want to hear that MC5 album Kick Out the Jams. What exactly does it sound like?
I wouldn't say I hate KISS, but I prefer bands with more artistic integrity than bands that are only meant for cheesy party anthems and the like. I'll listen to them if I have to. edit- and I could only recognize a few songs from that Grateful Dead picture. I'll keep working on it. |

I really want to hear that MC5 album Kick Out the Jams. What exactly does it sound like?
So the sound of the album could baisicly be summed up as Hard Rock mixed with other stuff (like the blues song "Motor City is Burning"), but what makes the album so great is the incredible raw energy that is heard on the album, you have to listen to it to understand. So if you like hard rock or Proto-Punk, you will love this album. |
It's Paul's 63rd today!!!!!1111!!!!!
It will be a sad day when he's gone and all we have is Ringo, the last time I saw Ringo was on some sort of bleach commericail on TV, while all the other members of the oringal group had pretty sucessful solo careers, ignoring how Johns was ended prematurely. |

Ringo was the drummer though possibly the most ignored Beatle. I only say that because I like his solo stuff alot. |

You are strongly underrating Ringo. My dad owns two of his album (s/t and Time takes Time), both are fantastic, and possibly 5/5's. Much better than Lennon's solo career, if you ask me. |

Much better than Lennon's solo career, if you ask me.
Wow that's a pretty bold statement. In that case maybe I'll look into Ringo's solo stuff. |
I into a lot of Lennon's solo stuff. "Give Peace a Chance" owns though. :)
|
I think this is a Lennon song, but i was wondering if you knew the actual title of a song of his that goes "don't believe..in..." and he proceeds to rattle off a bunch of things not to believe in..including the Beatles if im not mistaken, which i found kind of funny in a way.

Well, that isn't actually the meaning and purpose of the song, from what I hear/think. The songs called "God". It's off of Plastic Ono Band. |

The songs called "God". It's off of Plastic Ono Band.
well no i don't think so either, i was just trying to describe the song a little better incase the quote wasn't enough (though i'm sure it was) |
I've never felt particularly intrigued into getting into Ringo's stuff.
George's solo stuff was awesome, though:). |
gotta work tomorrow morning, night everybody.
Could someone post Birds of Fire?
I would like to hear this too. No, I didn't get banned, I just like this name better. Maybe I could get a merge eventually. |
Why not just ask Jim for a name change?
|
I've done that like 5 times, to no effect. So I decided to go the Merge route instead.
|
I would like to hear this too.
No, I didn't get banned, I just like this name better. Maybe I could get a merge eventually.
Get out, n00b. |
Yeah Lunch, just go into the site forum and ask Jim for a name change.
I'm sure he'll do it for you. |
lol led zepplin rulz.
Edit: I just asked if there's any chance I can get a merge. If not, I'll just be stuck with numbers for ever. |
Is that a good CD? I think I'm going to get it, because I really liked McCartney's short superbowl perfomance so I'm looking to a good live CD by him.
Yeah, it's really good, he forgets some of the words (in "You Never Give Me Your Money" he utters "I forgot the words to this stupid song so I'll just go with it" or something like that) But other than that, it's pretty good. It makes me excited to see him in November. |

Before he was saying that The Beatles were bigger than Jesus, and now he's changed his mind. People worshipped The Beatles as some kind of godly group, and he's saying how looking back on it, they were nothing more than a rockn'roll group. |

He said "The Beatles have become more popular than Jesus" not that they were bigger and more important than Jesus. I could imagine the reaction that got from the world. I mean we were talking about John Lennon in class and then some kid for no reason comes out and says "John Lennon said he was bigger than Jesus" and then the black girl behind me says " Well then he deserved to be shot". I got so pissed. |
^Well, do not act like John Lennon had good intentions while saying that, nor when he stated he thought he was Jesus, nor when he insulted Jerry G. by refering to him a J.C..
Karma...perhaps. And for the record, I think that is an incorrect statement. |
Turn on A&E whoever has it. Paul McCartney in Red Square is on.
