I can't choose between their older and newer stuff. Completely different bands, in my eyes...

I can't stop myself from playing With or without you, yet, ironically, I can't stop singing Vertigo.

EDIT:

I just remembered... What happened to the Adam Clayton avatar?

FUNKNBASS 11-28-2004 11:00 AM

HEy guys.

Yeah i agree, it's a completely different sound, but i find their albums back then to be mor consistent, the newer ones have quite a bit of filler in them...

Radiobass81 11-28-2004 11:05 AM

New songs aren't as epic as Sunday Bloody Sunday...

Old songs aren't as ingenious as Vertigo (wasn't going to put Vertigo, but forgot the name of the other one)

neal_672 11-28-2004 11:07 AM

Yeah, the newer stuff is more obvious and straight up rock song type stuff, the older stuff is more spacey and anthermic, well in general at least...

Oh and having just read the past few pages: Paul that is teh sux0rz man :upset: you sure there's no way around it?

Radiobass81 11-28-2004 11:10 AM

Going to run.

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 11:22 AM
Quatre, I'm going to cry on your shoulder, and then puke.
crying is ok, puking will get you a kick in the balls

Radiobass81 11-28-2004 11:25 AM

I'm back. No one here wants to run :upset:.

Nisakss: Ah, didn't know that was Clayton as well.

Quatre: Morning.

Bassinator89 11-28-2004 11:25 AM

I'm so pissed off right now. I asked a friend to goto a concert with me last month, and he said no. All of the sudden hes now going with this other kid who just asked him now. ARGH someone kill me the world sucks, and now i can't goto another concert for catch22 because the club serves alcohol. [/end emo]

neal_672 11-28-2004 11:27 AM
Quatre, I'm going to cry on your shoulder, and then puke.
Poor Paul, why not try stealing back your bass from your parents, running away and then busking on street corners until you can get enough money for a place of your own?

....Or alternatively you could do something sensible :upset:

Omega Red 11-28-2004 11:28 AM

Am i the only one who hates U2, Aerosmith, and Train style bands

peeted 11-28-2004 11:29 AM

just steal your parents most prized posesions

Mitchell Royce 11-28-2004 11:30 AM

I saw Catch22 once(not on purpose, believe me) and I wasn't too impressed. It's not my kind of music but I still thought that they could've done a whole lot better in terms of showmanship. Don't worry, they seem to be playing a lot of gigs pretty regularly(at least in Chicago).
Am i the only one who hates U2, Aerosmith, and Train style bands

Am i the only one who hates U2, Aerosmith, and Train style bands
Quatre, is there anything you feel neutral towards? It seems if you don't love something, you hate it...

Mitchell Royce 11-28-2004 11:31 AM

What do you like quatre? I can't stand AS or Train either but I always thought of Joshua tree as a great album.

peeted 11-28-2004 11:32 AM

i have played with a band who spuorted catch 22 on there uk tour. i have played with another band who suported skindred on a tour.

Radiobass81 11-28-2004 11:33 AM

Aerosmith isn't that bad. They have plenty of great songs (Dream On).

PaulSimonon 11-28-2004 11:34 AM

PaulR, we ought to meet at a GC sometime.

EDIT: You are the one who lives in Ft. Wayne, right?

Mitchell Royce 11-28-2004 11:34 AM

They always felt like a very cheap version of Led Zep to me. Plus, they have one of the worst names in rock.
