Star Wars: Tales of The Bounty Hunters  Is was that or Frank Zappa's biography.
You made the right choice. It is quite a good book :thumb: |
Good, I'm excited about the Bossk section.
Good, I'm excited about the Bossk section.
Pshaw, Fett pwns Bossk. Did you read the bounty hunter wars trilogy? |
Nope, I'll look into it next.
And about the Bossk and Fett situation. I don't know, but I like them both :) |
That series is good because it focuses on Bossk, Fett and Dengar. The writing is not extraordinary, but the content is nice, and it has a good plotline.
|
Sounds great :thumb: I'll definitley look into it. :)

Rock on...this chat is dying :(
Wake up lazy people! I'm so bored :upset: |
I hate it when people think that a forum is like a chat room. It's not. People don't just keep refrshing until someone posts something and then respond to it.
|
^Tell me that when you stop making spam threads, and spamming in the classic rock thread.

Totally off the subject, but why does America's youth see Marylin Manson as almost like "God". They practically are over him like a group of people diving into a pile of cash...
Rock on...this chat is dying :(
Wake up lazy people! I'm so bored :upset:
Hey, dude, s'all right. Man, hearing you guys talk about Star Wars brings back massive memories. I was the BIGGEST freak for that **** on the planet. I especially enjoyed the video games. Rebel Assault II was so old-school, arcade-like, but it was really hard to get a perfect score. And Dark Forces had a neat idea, but they ruined it by making the interiors not conform to anything we've read about. Imperial City/Coruscant is supposed to just be stormtrooper battalion after stormtrooper battalion? No actual people? That's crap! And the Executor level was really disappointing. But there were a few good levels there. Anyways, now that I think about it, I love all the World War II and Nazi Germany parallels in Star Wars. Maybe this is just me being a history buff talking, but check this out: -Obviously, the Imperial soldiers being named "stormtroopers" is the biggest similarity. The Imperial officer's affinity for jackboots, little green hats, and green/grey tunics is also very similar. -"Grand Admiral," as in Thrawn, was the title given to the Nazis' brilliant submarine commander and later chief of the German Navy, Karl Doenitz. -The Empire taking control over the corrupt Old Republic is clearly to indicate a parallel to Hitler taking over the corrupted Weimer Republic government. -Kessel, the spice mine planet, has an interesting name with regard to WWII. The word Kessel means, in German, "Cauldron." It was also the nickname given by German soldiers to the city of Stalingrad, which was the biggest hell-on-earth moment for the soldiers on the Eastern Front. It acquired the nickname when an entire German army--200,000 men--was surrounded by an enormous Russian force and was completely decimated by December 1942. In addition, "Cauldron" fits the idea of Kessel as a planet pretty well too. -Maw Installation is clearly a Peenemunde-like factory, which was the German testing grounds for their secret "wonder-weapons" that came too little, too late to have an effect on the Allied war effort. -My personal favorite is the planet Hoth's parallel. Hoth is an extremely inhospitable ice planet. Well, the Nazis' primary panzer commander in Russia was named Hermann Hoth, and he fought at some of the cruelest fights in Russia, most notably the fights outside Moscow and Stalingrad, both at times of the year where the Germans, lacking proper winter clothing, were freezing to death because of the famously frigid Russian winters. -Oh yeah, and Darth Vader's helmet is shaped either like a samurai's or a Nazi's, depending on the way you look at it. Sorry....the conversation's pretty much over, but whatev. |

I have stopped spamming the classic rock thread. I'll never quit making spam thread though. They;re the only decent ones in the pit ;) |

Ripper, you put entirely too much work into that post :p
I am a bigger fan though :p |
How so? Please explain.
|
So, I missed everything.
|
Pshaw, Fett pwns Bossk.
Did you read the bounty hunter wars trilogy?
IG-88 pwns all bounty hunters... |
No.
What about Jango Fett? |
Bah, Boba would run circles around his dad...
|
No.
What about Jango Fett?
Yes. |
Any non-jedi who kills a jedi impresses me.
|
Yes.
I don't rate androids at all. What about Mara Jade? |
Ripper, you put entirely too much work into that post :p
I was very bored. :) I thought it might be interesting to somebody. |
I don't rate androids at all.
What about Mara Jade?
As a bounty hunter, Mara was badass at the beginning, but then she wimps out and becomes a semi-Luke flame. Evidently the Emperor really didn't try hard enough in training her to be his "hand." |
IG-88 was just a tin-can with a rifle. Everyone > him :)
|
IG-88 was just a tin-can with a rifle. Everyone > him :)
He is a bad ass tin-can. Fuck you guys. |
I don't rate androids at all.
What about Mara Jade?
She's hot, I had her autograph at one point :thumb: Anyways, she was always pretty cool, since she seemed better than Luke in the books. When was she a bounty hunter though? |
He is a bad ass tin-can. Fuck you guys.
He did break the robot laws, but other than that...meh. |
What's the name of the bounty hunter who's all wrapped up in bandages when you see him in the original trilogy? He's got a grudge against Han because of a race or something.
|
Dengar, he was swoop racing Han and crashed, so he has all the bandages, but blames Han.
|
There we go. I've got an original model of him, somewhere. And the guy with tentacles on his face who apparently works for Jabba, but I don't think he ever actually appears in the films. In fact, in the little book of characters I read, he doesn't even have a photo. Just a pencil sketch.

^Those ones? (That is a movie SS) http://www.decipher.com/starwars/cardlists/jabbaspalace/dark/large/bibfortuna.html ^This one? They all appear in the movie for breif moments... |
I remember Bib, he's a fairly major character in my eyes.
It's the other one, the first picture. I wonder why this book didn't have a picture of him :-/ |
It's because SWCCG pwns all other trivia sources. Seriously, greatest game ever concieved.
|
MTG > SWCCG
Just when we thought the thread could get no nerdier. |
MTG > SWCCG
Just when we thought the thread could get no nerdier.
MTG sucks hardcore, well at least now... People are way to stuck up when they play that game. |
I never played MTG, I wasn't cool then, but SWCCG got popular about 6th grade, and I was all over it, touneys and all...but the stupid #1 player in the world lived where I did so no good, he would pull Vaders and such and give em away :(
MTG was about 5th grade, when I was super uncool, so I never played, but I hear good things. |
MTG sucks hardcore, well at least now...
Yes, now it sucks horrendously because Wizards, in all their infinite wisdom, decided to change the card design for the game's 10th Anniversary, making them them ugly. |
Yes, now it sucks horrendously because Wizards, in all their infinite wisdom, decided to change the card design for the game's 10th Anniversary, making them them ugly.
When did they change them? I saw kids playing it as recently as last year with original-looking cards... Oh yeah, wanna rep me for good measure? I got some lame down reps lately (a la Zakath and "Yarr" gimmick rep kid  ) |
