Defiance OH, TBIAPB, and Comadre tomorrow, along with a full day of sweet coffee shops, good vegan resteraunts, and AMAZING record stores all day. Rasputin and Amoeba are like the gods of all records stores.

Oh, and first Envy, then Hot Cross listening parties? Someone's on a roll.

whiteminority 02-21-2007 07:24 AM

Someone should hook up a Graf Orlock listening party.

Oh my ****ing god. I've already seen like three of those bands, and they were all nuts.

Speaking of Graf Orlock, next summer, after their european tour, Graf and Comadre are playing with us in our vocalist's shed-turned-DIY-venue. It's gonna be so sick. We almost played with BORN/DEAD and Ghoul this Saturday, but we're not quite ready for shows yet. Kinda sucks though, 'cuz we're already on all the flyers. We might get a song or two cranked out to play a short set.

Ah lame. Whatev I can camp out.

Subvert_bassist 02-25-2007 12:07 AM

The BORN/DEAD show today sucked. It was just a bunch of drunk guys trying to fight me.

RetiredAt21 02-25-2007 11:20 AM

Damn, that blows. BORN/DEAD are really good, though.

Subvert_bassist 02-25-2007 12:05 PM

Yeah. And, I got to skate the skatepark and eat the free vegan cookies Food Not Bombs was giving away.

whiteminority 02-25-2007 05:13 PM

Nice.

Pacific Specific 02-25-2007 08:22 PM

food not bombs food not bombs!

RetiredAt21 02-26-2007 07:59 AM

I had a vegan cookie once. I thought it was gonna taste like crap, but it was ridiculously good.

Subvert_bassist 02-26-2007 11:15 AM

There's lots of local vegan bakeries, so we had a choice of what kinda cookie, too. Dutch chocolate, peanut butter, chocolate chip, or mint chip. That was seriously like the highlight of my day. Well, that and the pimp downtown who randomly started talking about my gauges, and how he had 00's in his ears before he went to prison.

RetiredAt21 02-26-2007 01:21 PM

Hahahaha, awesome.

Subvert_bassist 02-26-2007 02:22 PM

Fantastic grind + br00tal breakdowns + a ton of movie quotes = cinema grind, aka GRAF ORLOCK! Anyone? This band rules:

Yes yes yes yes yes.

Times Ten 02-26-2007 09:23 PM

My friend made banana vegan cookies. I am not vegetarian and I thought they would be pretty bad, but they were some great damn cookies.

RetiredAt21 02-26-2007 10:13 PM

Vegans seem to know their way around cookies.

Subvert_bassist 02-26-2007 10:26 PM

Dude, 'cuz everyone ****ing loves cookies.

Pacific Specific 02-27-2007 07:03 PM

bruce banner rule. i'm glad people are talking about GRAF ORLOCK here

AIRIC 02-27-2007 07:08 PM

Patient Zero were sweet. Wasn't into Narcosis but they were doing **** with awesome bands so whatever. Hangover Heartattack's vocals are horrid, they sound like Disclose's guitar. I loved the music though. Bruce Banner are okay. Brain Dead are ****ing sick.

Welcome dude, you'll get along just fine here. Stick around.

Times Ten 02-27-2007 07:42 PM

I love Bruce Banner and Hangover Heartattack is alright. Haven't heard the others.

RetiredAt21 02-27-2007 09:42 PM

Spring Break!

powerplant 02-28-2007 04:04 PM

I didn't bother to read the 232 pages, so excuse me if any of these bands have already been recommended.

Ok, so my personal favorites of the genre are Agathocles, Unholy Grave, Disrupt, Dahmer, I.R.F. Mesrine, SABU, Archagathus, Phobia, and His Hero Is Gone, so I'd recommend them to anyone. Those are pretty big names except for Archagathus and SABU though. Archagathus are a newer band from Manitoba, Canada who play total agathocles worship mincecore/crust, and SABU are total d-beat. I'm not sure how to insert a link, so i'll just give the url for Archagathus (I can't remember SABU's): http://www.myspace.com/archagathus!

and if anyone likes a combination of grindcore, crust, d-beat and death metal, check out my band voreaphilia - http://www.myspace.com/voreaphilia (i term us Mincegore for short! haha)

jimmy spalding 02-28-2007 05:12 PM

so, anyone else here from the uk? or know any more decent current uk grind crust bands?
