Arucard 11-29-2004 10:15 AM

666 post is a very important one for us maideners.
which on of you is doing an FA on maiden?

Thunder Fingers 11-29-2004 10:53 AM

[QUOTE=Lord Abortion]anyone irritated that mx has no tabs on drums for futureal?

well, its an rather easy song for all the instruments, i bet you could figure out by ear.. the drummers in my bands have always used their ears..

Thunder Fingers 11-29-2004 10:55 AM

oh.. i have records to :p Powerslave and piece of Mind.. not many.. but they are LP's..

GurS 11-29-2004 11:03 AM

i'm not angry, it's a crap song.

i am, however, angry at the lack of a tab for the fallen angel

Money$hot 11-29-2004 11:05 AM

The LPs I have are Live After Death and Somewhere in Time. At 30, I'm probably among the oldest guys on this thread -- I first got into Maiden in 1987 [age 13], having missed the SIT tour and waiting on SSOASS to be released. Kinda strange that - at least around here - all the emo kids converting to metalcore are heavy into Maiden these days.

I think the Authority should do a "joint" FA, and anyone else who wants to get involved...

Dammit, I forgot to put Powerslave in my list...

The first Maiden Album I listened to was SSOASS when it was released, I was though only two. But I have been listening to them since :thumb:

Well the Emo kids probably come from FFAF supporting Maiden last year, the buggers!!!

I think Frail disappeared about 10-12 pages ago, that's a long time. I miss him too.

that is bad. the fallen angel is a class song.

FFAF really did suck balls when they supported maiden...biggest cheer they got was when they left the stage lol.
hardly anyone in my village is into metal most of them listen to dance crap and hang out round the phone box smoking. i'd much rather be at home listening to maiden :thumb:

Lord Abortion 11-29-2004 02:27 PM

yeah, where the hell is Frail?
I even put him as one of my votes for best mxer in the pit thread awards thingy...
and I suppose I will have to learn futureal by ear
ah well more work for me...

Josh 11-29-2004 02:30 PM

its not exactly a long song anyway, so once you work out fills etc it shouldnt be too hard. as i'm not a drummer i cant really talk though (in fact i dont play anything)

You play with yourself... :thumb:

but I like futureal
It's pretty much standard rock in maiden terms though

Josh 11-29-2004 02:49 PM

yeh. not one of the best, but theres worse (e.g. the apparition)
and is playing with yourself a crime?!?!?!?!?

ashman 11-29-2004 02:52 PM

Futureal is far better with the 3 Guitars, and live, and with Bruce :thumb:

Josh 11-29-2004 02:53 PM

of course. what song isnt?!?!

Lord Abortion 11-29-2004 02:53 PM

when did they do that?
bnw tour?

ashman 11-29-2004 02:54 PM

Nope, it's the last track on the Best of the B-sides. I think it was the tour before that, when Bruce rejoined. I can't remember the name of that tour.

i am quite sure it was called ed hunter.. it was another best of tour in honour to the "Ed Hunter" album/PC game, there for eddie looking the way he did.. Metal 2000 must have been an festival or somthing..
