what is an alternative to the paiste signature line and (this is less important) the dark energy ride
I'd say the fact that it's a specific model is more important, because then at least we can match a similar kind of thing, because the Signature range is pretty diverse. |

Yeah the sigs have a few dark models as well as quite a few bright ones, so its hard to relate them to another line. |
Ok I'm looking for another splash, I already have a 10" Stagg Myra and a 10" Radia an I was looking at getting a 8". I want something bright and cutting so I was thinking about an A or A custom, but any other suggestions that you guys have would be apprieciated.
Deffinately Sabian AAX, that thing may be small small but it cuts surprisingly well.

im already getting a 20" a ping ride. im just curious for when i start making my dream cymbal set-up, and after it cracks

After it cracks? My rides older than you and is in perfect condition. You should NEVER crack a ride!
|
Zildjian wont make custom cymbals
Yeah They Do. Not very often/it's not very likely. 200 USD for every inch you take or give to a cymbal. For isntance... A 2 inch Ping Ride would cost about... 3840 USD. |
oh, then when i want a new sound, i havent cracked a ride, i was just saying
|

I'm looking for a seconday crash, on the smaller side. Something that won't drown out everyone else when I go to ride on it, any suggestions?
|
lol, cuz thats totally worth it
Heck Yes it is. |
better cymbal.
yo dudes i need your opinion. what do you think is better for you, the zildjian sweet ride traditional finish or the zildjian sweet ride brilliant finish? thanks.:p
|
that is entirely a matter of opinion, and a question of asthetics. Get whichever you wish.
Though keep in mind briliant cymbals have a slightly darker tone, its hardly even noticable but it is there, and they aquire fingerprints and stick marks much quicker than traditional cymbals. |
I'd go for brilliant. It tends to sound a lot brighter. And i like shiney things
|
I'd get the brilliant finish just because it looks better and I like bright cymbals but all that is personal preference. Get what you want to get.
|
okay. thanks for your help.. if you have time, check this video out. :chug: http://youtube.com/watch?v=qDRfAjF3eaY&search=urbandub \m/
