I Need you, The Inner Light, Something, WMGGW, Here Comes The Sun, Within You Without You, I Want To Tell You, Love You Too, Piggies, and Blue Jay Way immediatly come to mind..
Heh. That's almost all of his songs with the Beatles.

Walrus Gumboot 07-25-2005 08:08 PM
Heh. That's almost all of his songs with the Beatles.
I couldn't think of any more by him, but I think there may be more I forgot about

PS- How come you are never in the CR thread, Deus?

DeusExMachina 07-25-2005 08:10 PM

That's a good question. I should start posting in it.

The only song I can immediately think of that you missed is Taxman.

Rising 07-25-2005 08:46 PM
Awesome. That's a good album.
Sgt peppers is by far, the funnest song to solo over

El_Goodo 07-25-2005 09:14 PM

I think Here Comes The Sun is my favourite George Harrison song cause it is awesome and is one of the beatles best songs.

magicbus 07-25-2005 10:15 PM

I love "Love You To". The part at the beginning where it goes from just sitar to sitar/drums/everything is phenominal.

TerryThorne 07-25-2005 10:49 PM

Love you To is one of my favorites off of Revolver

Seafroggys 07-25-2005 11:21 PM

Love You Too was cool, but Yellow Submarine was the first album I got and it was on that. Since it was the only album I had for a year, I tended to get sick of some songs, so I've been turned off by Love You Too now for, what is it 4 years already? Geez.

Favorite Harrison song is Here Comes the Sun, or I Want to Tell You. That song is so fricken underrated its not even funny, its the best off of Revolver IMO.

Sgt._Joker 07-26-2005 01:21 AM

Well i havnt posted for a very, very long time, i got banned and didnt bother to come back, but here i am.

During my holidays, i went to london, went and saw abbey road studios, i went inside and there is nothing to see, its still a private Studio, their isnt even a room dedicated to the beatles.

I could not bring myself to walk across the zebra crossing... it felt so wrong to me.

I was in london for live 8, Paul McCartney brought the house down it was fucking tops.

DeusExMachina 07-26-2005 10:48 AM

You saw live 8? In london? Live? I hate you. I'm going to steal your memories.

Sgt._Joker 07-27-2005 07:15 AM

My Favorite Harrison song is "Here Comes The Sun" and "Something".

Harrison IMO is definitly the most Underrated Beatle and maybe one of the most underated musician of all time.

Broken Arrow 07-27-2005 08:50 AM

My favourite Harrison song is definetly "While My Guitars Gently Weeps".

DeusExMachina 07-27-2005 08:55 AM

The Clash 07-27-2005 09:04 AM

2. John (Before he went Hippie)
3. George
4. Ringo

magicbus 07-27-2005 09:15 AM

George, Paul, John, Ringo.

The Clash 07-27-2005 09:20 AM

Im going to see Paul Live in Philly on Sept 22nd. I cant wait.

The Clash 07-27-2005 10:48 AM

Anyone else going to see Paul this year?

The Clash 07-27-2005 11:00 AM

Is Twist and Shout by the beatles or do they cover it?

El_Goodo 07-27-2005 11:17 AM
Is Twist and Shout by the beatles or do they cover it?
It's a cover...I believe the original is the Isley Brothers but I could be wrong.

The Clash 07-27-2005 12:12 PM

Yeah, I'm seeing him in Boston, where are you seeing him?

PS-Tripple/Double posts are ususally frowned upon, I would use the edit button :thumb:

Sgt._Joker 07-28-2005 05:48 AM

the revolver albumn never ceases (sp?) to amaze me.

I love i'm only sleeping... any one heard the Vines cover version off the I Am Sam soundtrack?
its very good, though some of the covers on that albumn are just ****e.

DeusExMachina 07-28-2005 10:17 AM

I'm seeing Paul in October, the day after my birthday. It's exciting.

I couldn't possibly rank the Beatles, they're all so awesome.

I heard a cover of I'm Only Sleeping, but I wasn't sure who it was by. Maybe it was the Vines. I didn't like it, however.

BludgeonySteve 07-28-2005 11:01 AM

I know that I could put ringo last. But it would be hard to rank Paul, George and John,

Walrus Gumboot 07-28-2005 11:08 AM
I know that I could put ringo last. But it would be hard to rank Paul, George and John,
The sad thing is that so would I, which is terrible because it isn't like Ringo is that awful, he has a great personality even if he wasn't the best songwriter/singer/musician, he was still very likeable

eghed 07-28-2005 11:23 AM

My favorite George songs probably The Inner Light, It's All Too Much, Only A Northern Song, Taxman, Here Comes the Sun, and the lyrics of Within You Without You.

And about Ringo I don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about Ringo's personality. they may he's a bad drummer or stuff like that but you really can't say anything about Ringo, he's just a nice guy.

magicbus 07-28-2005 11:43 AM

I don't think he's a bad drummer either, though. Ringo is an awesome drummer, a lot of those songs were really hard to keep the rhthym to, like "Good Morning".

Or Rain. Which is one of my favorite all time songs by them, as far as bass and drums go at least
